Meet my dogs 🐶

From left to right we have Santo, Malice, Hope & Mika

Santo & Hope are brother and sister, Mika is their Mother.

Malice’s grandad is Hope & Santo’s Dad.

Last year I was in a very different situation to where I am now, and I thought it would be a good idea to add another 3 working dogs to my life, the Doberman came first.

I sometimes regret my impulsive decisions as it makes life HARD 😭😂

However, I couldn’t imagine life without them and the things that I have learned raising and training these dogs, is invaluable experience that you could never ever get from any course, book or degree.

So when people ask me what my qualifications are, I just show them my dogs 🥹🙃

Today I made a trip to London to visit Tocho, the Shiba Inu.

Tocho is a complex little fellow, as Shiba’s usually are. As a puppy he displayed some very small signs of aggression, which his owner took very seriously and since then has worked hard on his obedience and confidence around people.

In the Summer 2023, Tocho became really unwell, vomiting & diarrhoea, sometimes vomiting blood too, that lasted for around 6 weeks. After many vet trips, tests & injections she never got to the bottom of it.

Tocho has now recovered physically, but the whole ordeal was so traumatic for him it has had a huge effect on him mentally.

Tocho is so fearful of going outside now, he will bite if you attempt to even put his lead on!

We ended the session with some freeshaping, rewarding Tocho for choosing to engage with his lead and letting him choose the distance between him and the lead, ending the session with him nice and relaxed right in front of his lead.

Very interested to see how Tocho progresses with this concept, stay tuned for future updates!
