Meet Daisy ..❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have said that I would push this lovely puss for my friend who runs a cat rescue in Athens.
Please share as although shes in Greece she can travel and it would be lovely to help find a forever home.
Once you read her remarkable story you can see how much she has gone through and deserves a chance.
There are so many street dogs and cats in Greece and its neighbouring countries like Macedonia where Viktor is from ,as you've probably seen if you have holidayed and although there are small organisations like saaving lives who helped her, the number of strays far outweighs the help available and they do not stand a chance.
Daisy would have died had the rescue not intervened but she is here, she's determined to enjoy every minute of the life she now has ..
Daisys story
I remember when I first found Daisy, broken and unable to move next to a beach after a dog broke her spine, how I marveled at the pure trust and affection she offered right from the get go. She was happy to lay there enjoying cuddles and even drank water and nibbled some food as we waited for help.
Once it was my turn to foster her, one of the first things that stood out to me about Daisy was her near constant desire to give love and affection whenever she is close to you. When cuddling, she routinely reaches up with her little paws to gently touch your face before coming in for a little nuzzle.
The second thing was her incredible resilience and how quickly she adapted to not having working back legs. She scoots around the house so quickly and so well, she chases toys and bats balls up and down the hall better even than my dog!
She loves everyone, dogs, cats, and people. She is very adaptable, given how quickly she acclimates to the different volunteer's homes. She is partially blind so she does need to be in a secured environment so she doesn't accidentally fall off something or get herself trapped. That said, after some cat-proofing, she had the run of my flat and quickly found where everything important was and happily explored the house, found toys, and chased the other pets and forced them to let her groom them.
Both my wife and I agree that Daisy is a very unique personality. Purely playful, affectionate, and just wanting to belong, she will unconditionally love anybody who is kind enough to give her a home.
We also found that she is very independent and her special needs took us about 15 minutes in the morning to deal with after which she settled into a routine of snoozing in the sun, playing, snoozing on someone's belly, playing, and bed.
