Archie was my first ever doggy client so will forever hold a special place in my heart but my god, he’s such a gorgeous doggy.

I had the privilege of looking after Archie again and myself, Josh and Herbie were very excited!!

Archie is such a playful dog and such a great companion for Herbie. He’s cuddly and loves to relax on the sofa and watch television - basically the perfect doggy client!

We have missed you Archie and really hope you enjoy yourself just as much as last time!!🥰

I have just got back from spending the last 4 hours with these two gorgeous girls whilst their daddy’s are enjoying Leeds pride.

Cece is a 3 and a half year old Frenchie that has such a soft gentle nature and Gigi is an 18 week old mad puppy - they are both absolutely beautiful and have kept me busy this evening!

We have enjoyed lots of playing, been for a lovely walk and then cuddled whilst watching television!

Ofcourse this weeks breed of the week has to be the beagle as a dedication to our friend Archie!!

I don’t have much experience with beagles but from looking after Archie, I’ve learnt they are such loving cuddly dogs yet extremely curious with their noses - they love a good route around to see what they can find!

They are such a beautiful breed of dog and a pleasure to look after!💙

We had Bailey (our family dog) staying with us last night and again, it was so much fun.

Bailey is a 6 year old Border Collie who is in fact part of the Leigh family. Myself and Josh often look after Bailey when we can and we absolutely love it every time. He’s such a pleasure to look after - he is a very obedient dog that loves playing with his tennis ball.

Herbie absolutely loves it when Bailey is round - it’s someone for him to play with and burn lots of energy!💙

Archie is a 14 month old beagle that was rescued by his mummy and daddy Hannah and Ash. He has lots of energy and loves going for runs and walkies!

We are super exited to have Archie for the night - we have lots of exciting plans and can’t wait to spoil him whilst he’s here with us - Herbie is very excited too!!💙

Everyone, meet Herbie - my bestest friend of all time.

I always knew I would end up having a dog once we bought our first home - and I can confirm it was the best decision we ever made. Herbie makes our home - he is the best addition to our little family and I couldn’t imagine life without. Tbh I can’t remember life before him.

A lot of people laugh at how we treat Herbie. We treat him like he is our baby (that’s because he is our baby). We spoil him so much that people think we are crazy. But I have always said ‘don’t get a dog if you’re not going to spoil and love them’ and I’ll stand by that for the rest of my life. Dogs deserve to be spoilt and loved.

If I was lucky enough to care for your dog, I’d spoil and love them just like I do Herbie and that’s a promise 🐶💛

This week the breed of the week is the BORDER COLLIE! I have chosen this breed as we have Bailey (a 6 year old border collie) coming to stay with us next weekend and we can’t wait.

I love dogs in my home - they make me feel so much joy and contentment. If I could have 10 dogs I would! Herbie also loves having friends round for sleepovers and having someone to play with!

Border Collies make great dog friends - they like to play and never get tired so great companions for spaniels like Herbie!

We’re looking forward to spending time with you Bailey - I have lots of treats ready for you!🐶

I have been really enjoying doing some studying around dogs and their well being. I have completed and passed my pet first aid and pet sitting and dog walking diploma! I am currently in the process of completing a canine communication diploma which I’m very excited about! I have learnt so much so far and can’t wait to share it all with you! 🐶💛

During my pet first aid course, I learnt a lot about heatstroke in pets so wanted to take this opportunity to teach you all about the signs of heat stroke and what you can do from home if your dog ever experiences it.

PLEASE:
🦴Keep your dog out of the sun
🦴Keep your dog inside if possible
🦴Encourage fluids
🦴Provide regular fluids
🦴Remove all dog bedding
🦴Avoid dog walking

All dogs are very vulnerable to heat stroke - especially those with short or light coloured fur.

Dogs lose heat through their tongue and paws and are able to cool themselves down through panting. Dogs with short noses (pugs, bull dogs, boxers) are more likely to suffer from heat stroke because they are unable to cool themselves down through panting so please be mindful if you own those breed of dogs.

Be sensible. Take precautions and please look after your dogs 🐶💛

THE FACE BEHIND THE BRAND

Hello, my name is Kandi. I am 26 years old and I am an A+E nurse. I live in Harrogate and have done my whole life. I have a massive love for dogs and their well-being.

I have been a proud dog mummy since 2020 to a handsome fur baby called Herbie. He is a 2 year old spaniel with a an abundance of energy. He has brought me so much joy and happiness and has been the best addition to my little family.

I have spent my whole life around dogs of all different breeds - Staffordshire Bull Terrior, Pugs, Spaniels and Labradors. I feel comfortable around all breeds of dog and personalities.

Since the pandemic, I have come to love and need the outdoors. It’s not only good for dogs mental health but for mine too. I enjoy spending my spare time with my friends and family (especially their four legged fur babies).

I look forward to meeting you all!

🐾ARCHIE’S DAY IN THE LIFE WITH KANDI’S KANINES🐾- Archie was a pleasure to look after - he’s still the most playful get cuddly dog that we love! Herbie absolutely loves spending time with him - they definitely tire each other out!! We had a nice relaxed day yesterday - cuddled on the sofa, went for a few walks and then cuddled some more. Definitely the best way to spend a Saturday!
