By early June, fledglings begin to venture out into the worldโfluffy, wide-eyed, and still learning the ropes of life beyond the nest. You might spot young Blue T**s, Starlings, or even Great Spotted Woodpeckers making their first clumsy flights or calling out to their parents for food.
These fledglings are easy to spot as they start to explore their surroundings: fluffy with down, their feathers not yet fully formed, and a yellow gape still visible at the corners of their beaksโa tell-tale sign theyโve only just left the nest. ๐ฃ
If you see any of these young explorers in your garden or local green space, snap a photo and share it in the commentsโweโd love to see whoโs dropped by! ๐ท
