A stray dog has been brought into our Horden surgery today. She is a young female Lurcher.

She is in need of medical attention so we are desperate to find her family.

Unfortunately she is not microchipped.

Exciting news!

We have invested in an endoscope and laparascopic equipment, which means we can offer more procedures in house. One of which is keyhole spaying.
As the equipment is new and we are training our team to use it we are offering laparascopic spays at the same price as a normal spay for suitable candidates over the next few weeks.

A deceased male cat that was found at port Clarence has been brought in to our Billingham surgery today ☹️

He is an uncastrated, tabby wearing a black diamanté collar. He has no microchip so we have been unable to inform his family.

Everyone meet Minni and Myk who came to visit us for their health checks 😻😻 They also had their brother Chester 🐈 and sister Elmo 🐕 with them.

Minni and Myk were so relaxed for their examination and afterwards enjoyed having a mini photo shoot with our Vet Elizabeth 📸 🤳 🐈

This is Oscar who spent the day with our Billingham team for his castration surgery ✂️

As you can see he took it all in his stride and was very comfortable with his big bed. He loved all the attention he got whilst with us and the team loved his cheeky personality.

🌞🔥Heat exposure🌞🔥

As we have seen an increase in emergency cases of pets suffering from heat exposure we would like to share with you all some handy information on when it's too hot to take your pets out for walks and what symptom's of heat exposure you should look out for.

No dog has ever died from missing one walk but dogs have died from one walk in the heat.

If you are concerned about your pet suffering from heatstroke or require any advice then please give us a call 😊.

Unfortunately the microchip details are not up to date so we have been unable to contact his family ☹️

🌟 Winnie 🌟

At a very young age Winnie had an accident which resulted in her fracturing her leg.

This meant that she needed surgery and a lot of after care which included strict rest, multiple dressing changes, check-ups and much more.

As you can imagine this must have been very difficult for Winnie as a young puppy to not be able to play or run around like most puppies, but with the love, care and devotion from her amazing family she got through it all. This week she has been to see us again and has been signed off any further checks 😁

Winnie is very much loved by all of the team and we can't believe how big she has grown from the first time she came to see us.

Well done Winnie and family on your recovery ❤️

We would like to share Flora's story with you all.

Flora did not have the best start at life as she was found in a very poor condition, but now thanks to everyone involved in giving her a second chance she lives a very happy and healthy life with our very own receptionist Lesley.

Well done everyone ❤️

Everyone meet the very handsome Gunther who came in today to see Elizabeth for a checkup on a wound and to also get his booster at the same time.

He was such a good boy and made himself very comfortable in the consult room 😍
