It’s the evening before the Heritage Craft Awards. Wish us luck tomorrow…. By this time tomorrow we will know the result but whatever the outcome we are so proud of Andrew Benny Hastilow for being not only nominated but shortlisted to the last 3.

It is another proud day in the Hastilow & Sons workshop. This morning we were informed that Andrew has been shortlisted to the final three in The Heritage Crafts Awards for Leatherworker of the year. An incredible achievement to even make the shortlist. He has been invited to the winners awards ceremony at Eltham Palace in November so watch this space for the result!!!!

ABOUT HASTILOW & SONS

Hastilow & Sons are a Bespoke Saddle Makers with over 30 years’ experience, based in Haslemere, Surrey. Andrew Hastilow is the Owner of Hastilow & Sons, having been the Senior Master Saddler at Hastilow Competition Saddles and was the designer and developer of the new saddle lines. He completed his apprenticeship with his father in his Walsall company, then joined the Parkes Group as a Master Saddler. Andrew went to Australia working for a Saddlery Company, then returned to join Hastilows. He has had many wins in the Society of Master Saddlers Saddlery Competition including winning 3 awards at this year’s competition. He has been designing and producing saddles for 30 years, he is a Master Saddler and a Qualified Saddle Fitter. This gives him a unique perspective from both the manufacturing and the Equine fitting and movement side.

We offer a full range of saddles including Endurance, Dressage, Jump and General Purpose. All custom made to meet individual horse and rider’s needs.
