At Cats Protection, we have seen the rate of abandoned cats and kittens increase by over 30% this year. Cats will never know why they’ve been abandoned. They only know the cold, fear and hunger, and that they’re far from home. But their journey doesn’t end there. Our expert team will get to know every abandoned cat so we can find their perfect owner and home, and ensure they’re healthy and ready to continue their journey.

We have launched this appeal to help us support more cats and kittens. Your support will provide the food, warmth and expert care that cats who we help need, until we find them a loving new home.

We receive no government funding and rely heavily on kind members of the public to support our work and allow us to help cats who are in life-threatening situations. Even a small gift can help abandoned cats and kittens, and every penny makes a difference.

We’re here for every cat’s journey, and for every owner who needs our advice and support.

Cats of the week! All cats are available for adoption 💕🏠

Poppy: came into our care after she was found straying. She is an affectionate girl who enjoys lots of fuss and attention. She loves lots of playtime and has lots of energy so will need some safe, outdoor space that she can explore. She would be happy in a family home with older children (10+) but no other pets.

Martin: came into our care after he was found straying. He is a gentle giant who enjoys lots of fuss and attention, he loves to roll around and show off his big belly! He would be happy in a family home with children over the age of 10 but no other pets.

Emma: is the most confident out of the bunch, she’s usually the first to come forward to play and enjoys some fuss. She has the loudest purr and likes to give you kisses.

Jem: came into our care after she was feeling unsettled in her previous home. She is an affectionate girl who enjoys lots of fuss and attention. She loves a lap to curl up on so would love an owner who is around a lot to give her the love and company she deserves! She is looking for a quiet home with no children or other pets.

Tyson: came into our care after he was feeling unsettled in his previous home. He is a energetic and chatty boy who loves lots of company, fuss and attention. Tyson has lots of energy, he loves to play and will need a safe, outdoor space to explore. He would be happy in a family home with school-aged children.

Dotty: came into our care after she was feeling unsettled in her previous home. She is a sweet girl who can be a little wary when she first meets you and can hiss, but it doesn’t take long before she enjoys lots of fuss and attention. Once she is comfortable with you she is very affectionate and enjoys lots of company. She will be looking for a quiet home with no children or other pets.

⚠️URGENT OUTDOOR HOMES NEEDED ⚠️- Tardis, Thistle & Tuppence have been in our care for 60 days. They were found straying and are currently very nervous of people. It is our belief that each of them would benefit from outdoor homes (e.g stables, barns), where they can be mostly independent from people. It is likely that they will make great mousers in return! 🐈‍⬛
If you have outdoor shelter in a lovely rural location, please get in touch with us via email at:
[email protected] OR call us on 01428 604297.

On Saturday 23rd November we attended the 40th Haslemere Charities Fair at Haslemere Hall!

We were fundraising and raising awareness for the centre and our volunteering opportunities.

We met lots of members of the community and other charities and had a very successful morning. In particular there were lots of happy children with their balloons and cat masks!

Special thanks to Mandy and Caroline who volunteered their time to help out at the fair.

Thank you 🥰

Our cats will love these scratching boards, enabling them to display typical cat behaviour, and help keep their claws in tip top condition.
These pill pockets are a great, stress-free way to give pills to cats, turning tablet time into treat time.
The aprons will be used by our cleaning team who clean out cat pens every day.

We are so grateful for every donation we receive and they make such a big difference for cats in our care.
