Good morning everyone,

The salon will be closed for the next few days, while I take some much needed time to rest and recuperate. I will return, hopefully rejuvenated and relaxed, on Monday 29th July so all messages to the page and answer machine messages will be responded to then.

We finally have water back! I’ve got a number of calls, texts and messages to work through on top of a very busy day beautifying pooches so please bear with me while I get back to people during the course of the day.

Today we would be celebrating Michelle’s 40th Birthday and that got me thinking… the last birthday we celebrated together was her 30th and the fun filled weekend we had up in London! It also got me thinking about all sorts of different things. Like how she was only 14 years old when she started working at Fur & Feathers, 17 when we met at that same pet shop, 20 when we bought our flat, 22 when she was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal carcinoma and a very short 18 months later, after a gruelling treatment plan, at age 23 set up the Pawfect Pooch, despite numerous physical impairments from the gruelling treatment, quickly gained an enviable reputation. Its easy to forget as time passes, but I guess I just wanted to remind myself of what a remarkable force of nature this woman was, passionate, ambitious and very determined. I still have your voice on the salon answer machine and a customer said recently how nice it was to hear. 🥰

It pains me as yet another birthday passes where we don’t get to make new memories and raise a glass together in your honour. But as long as my arms are still functioning, I shall do so for you on this equally difficult but very special day and wish you a very happy heavenly birthday! Miss you always,

Hi all,

As most of my regulars will know, I’ve had signs up in the salon for the last few months notifying you all of my price changes from today. I have also notified you all before you booked your next appointment that falls after this date.

To confirm, my prices are rising by £5 for all bath and grooming services. This excludes nail trails which for the 17th year running, will still remain at £5. I have linked below, the section on my website that details prices.

And that’s a wrap!

I’ve survived to the end of an absolutely fantastic Christmas week, thank you so much to all my amazing customers who have inundated me with biscuits, chocolate, booze and very generous tips, it’s incredibly humbling and I appreciate it so so much!

All that’s left is to do is open a nice bottle of wine and finally put my feet up (for a couple of days anyways!) so I would like to wish you all an amazing Christmas, may you all eat well, drink plenty and be merry surrounded by your spectacular pooches and loved ones!

Due to the severe weather warnings for tonight and tomorrow, Market management have taken the decision to close St Andrews Mews tomorrow. I have called everyone who has an appointment to reschedule but I have a couple of nail bookings that I don’t have a number for so if you have a nail trim booked in tomorrow, Thursday 2nd Nov, these will be cancelled.

Please stay safe one and all and please don’t go out unless you absolutely have to as we are expected incredibly severe weather conditions.

Due to the severe flooding in the town centre today, they have cut our electricity and so all appointments today will need to be rescheduled.

Merry Christmas all!

Thank you to all our lovely customers for all the lovely cards, gifts and well wishes. We have loved pampering your pooches throughout the year.

Just to outline our opening days over the festive period, we’re here until Saturday 24th December, then reopen Thursday 29th December to the 31st December.

Finally back on Tuesday 3rd January 2023.

We hope you all have a fantastic Christmas with family and friends, be sure to hold those dear to you extra tight this year and have a wonderful New Year!

As most of my long term regulars will know, my prices have been the same since the end of 2016, I’ve put this off for as long as I can sustain however with effect from 1st April, my prices will be increasing by around £2.
