Pet Food Bank by Cariad Pet Therapy Open weekly on a Monday 9.30am - 12.30pm That’s why we provide emergency pet food and support. You have had a sudden change or a delay in your benefits.

We don’t think that pet owners in our community should have to face the difficult decision in whether to feed their pets before themselves. Our mission:

To ensure that pets have access to nutritious food during times of financial hardship

By offering a pet owner a timely, responsive, individual pet food bank service they will continue to receive the comfort, companionship and wellness that pets

provide

These measures, in turn, will aid the prevention of a pet being taken into a rehoming centre

Please note we are here for short term support only, not a long term solution. Am I eligible for pet food support?

​You would go without food yourself or be unable to heat your home if you did not have support from the pet food bank. You have suddenly become homeless. You are in a controlling relationship, or you are fleeing domestic abuse. You have had an unexpected vet or household bill and you are on a low income. A professional has identified you are in need, and they make a referral on your behalf.

And that's 2024 done.

4 years of the pet food bank and supporting animal welfare at the doorstep.

A huge thank you to the team who have tirelessly lifted heavy bags of dog food, organised the dates, cleaned and cleaned and cleaned, and ensured the running is as smooth as possible.

A challenging role and we are proud of our team.

What does 2025 look like? Funding is an issue but if we can continue throughout the year we will.

What summed up our support is a beneficiary who came in today for the first time as they only could feed their dog cornflakes this morning 😪

It is important for us to build business relations for our donations so we do not have to rely on the community, who are already struggling, for support. A new pet food bank supporter delivered today as we received 8 full pallets of miscellaneous pet food products to support the local community. The first of many donations we will receive from them. #petfoodbank
