We’ve had an update on Lil Bug, she has had the surgery and it’s gone as well as expected, they are hopeful for a good night of recovery and she will be discharged tomorrow 🤞

🚗 LIL BUG IS OFF TO BRISTOL! 🚗

We’ve hit the road and little Bug is tucked up safely in her crate on her way to Bristol Veterinary Specialist.

After a detailed phone consultation yesterday, the specialist team has put together a clear plan to help with Lil Bug’s incontinence. The first step will be a laser procedure, and if that isn’t successful, they’ll move to a more traditional surgical option.

As with all surgeries, there are risks involved — but the team is confident and hopeful that everything will go well, and that Lil Bug will be home on Thursday!

Today’s procedure costs just over £3,000, which is in addition to the £3,000 already spent on her diagnostics and previous treatments.

Thanks to your amazing support, we’ve raised £3,200 so far, but we’re still short of covering the full cost.

🎉 EXCELLENT NEWS 🎉

Bristol Veterinary Specialists have been in touch today they’re happy with Lil Bugs recent urine sample and she’s now ready for surgery!

Tomorrow we set of at 4.30am to get her to Bristol for 8am to be prepped ready for surgery later in the day - please keep her in your thoughts, all being well she will be discharged on Thursday 🙏🏼

Loki is a handsome 2-year-old Akita who found himself alone as an unclaimed stray, but he hasn’t let that stop him from being a kind, loveable lad. True to his breed, Loki is loyal, intelligent, and has a calm, steady presence that makes him a joy to be around. He’s affectionate with those he bonds with and has that classic Akita dignity—paired with a surprisingly goofy, gentle side once he feels at home and settled.

Due to his size, Loki would do best with someone who has experience with large, confident breeds—especially Akitas. He would thrive as the only pet in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention, but may also live happily alongside a calm, older female dog following successful introductions. Loki is looking for a patient, loving home that understands and respects the noble spirit of the Akita. In return, he’ll be a devoted and steady companion for life.

Marble is a stunning 2-year-old Lurcher with a beautiful rough coat and a heart just as lovely. Found as a stray, she hasn’t let her past dim her spirit—this girl is full of joy and ready to find her forever home. Marble is incredibly friendly, adores people, and has a gentle, affectionate nature that wins over everyone she meets. She enjoys her walks, has a curious energy, and is a true sight-hound lover’s dream.

She’s great with other dogs and would thrive in a home with canine companions to play and relax with. However, Marble will need a cat-free environment. With her easygoing nature and love for cuddles, she’d make a perfect addition to an active but loving home. If you’re looking for a sweet, soulful companion who’ll steal your heart (and probably your sofa), Marble is your girl!

💚 PLEASE SHARE 🙏🏼 MILA 💚

Sweet Mila, a 6-year-old Staffie, has come such a long way since she first arrived at Greenacres. She was shy, a little unsure of the world, and suffering from an awful tail injury. Sadly, her tail couldn’t be saved, and she underwent an amputation—but she’s recovered beautifully, and her little stump now wags with joy when she sees a friendly face.

Mila is still a bit timid when meeting new people, but it doesn’t take long before she’s snuggling in and showing her affectionate, gentle nature. She’d love a home to call her own. She’d be happiest in a cat-free home, but could thrive with the right family who’ll give her time, patience, and plenty of love. After all she’s been through, Mila is so deserving of her happily ever after.

💚 PLEASE SHARE 🙏🏼 SLINKY AND CILLA💚

Supporters may remember Slinky and Cilla arriving with us some weeks ago, in a heartbreaking state. These two little Dachshunds had clearly known neglect, and both were in urgent need of extensive dental surgery just to be comfortable again. Thanks to your incredible support and generosity, we were able to give them exactly that—and we’re so happy to share that they’ve now made a full recovery and are ready to find the loving home they’ve always deserved.

Slinky is around 8 and Cilla around 7. They are the sweetest, most gentle little souls—wonderful with other dogs, but they will need a cat-free home. Most of all, we’d love to see them stay together. They absolutely adore each other, and after everything they’ve been through, they deserve to stay side by side. They’ll make the most lovely companions for a kind-hearted person or family ready to give them the peaceful, affectionate life they’ve waited so patiently for. Thank you again to everyone who stood by them—it’s because of you they now have hope.

Join us for a fantastic day out for the whole family — and your furry friends too! 🐶💕

🐕 Dog Show starts at 12 noon

There’ll be fun, laughter, and plenty of wagging tails with games, stalls, food, and a Companion Dog Show that your pup won’t want to miss! Schedule attached.
