In the last two days we have provided kennels for seven stray dogs that are now in our care under Pembrokeshire County Council, until they are claimed or transfer to our care after the statutory days.

Those where the Dog Warden has not been able to make contact with an owner have been advertised in a hope an owner will come forward, if you want to help these dogs please scroll back through the page and share their posts, also support our work. If unclaimed we will be the safety net for them and get them new loving homes!

🚨 EMERGENCY INTAKE 🚨

This poor little semi feral kitten has been brought to us with a completely degloved tail. That must have been so painful when it happened. It’s since died off 😢

Thankfully we have tremendous vet support from Fenton Vets Haverfordwest who have agree to admit and assess for surgery first thing tomorrow 🙏🏼

She will soon be on the road to recovery ❤️‍🩹

🐾 Heartbreaking Appeal 🐾

We understand our appeals are regular but please read on to understand the challenges we are facing.

In the past week, we have taken in over 20 dogs, most of them unclaimed strays. Some are strays patiently waiting for their owners to come forward, while others are in need of temporary shelter before heading to their rescues to find their forever homes. Some are welfare cases, and we will share their stories as we can 😢

The current crisis of pet abandonment and rehome requests in the UK is devastating. While we have managed to help 20 dogs, double that number didn't make it to us. The daily decisions we face are heart-wrenching, and the constant struggle to provide for these innocent animals is overwhelming, we really are doing our best.

We are living week to week, and with increased intake comes increased costs, another worry that just seems to get worse.

Just look at their faces, the innocence in their eyes - none of them asked to be in this situation, but they all deserve love and care.

How can you help?

Dear Supporters,

We deeply appreciate your generous donations to our shops — they and our shops are essential in keeping our rescue open. However, we are currently experiencing an overwhelming amount of donations, partly due to other charity shops in our area no longer accepting them. While we are doing our utmost to accommodate as many donations as possible, there are times when we must pause accepting them to ensure the safety and well-being of our volunteers and customers, and allow time for them to be processed ready for resale.

If our volunteers inform you that we have reached our capacity and cannot accept further donations, we kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation. Please remember that our volunteers dedicate their time and effort freely, and we are incredibly thankful for their hard work, abusive behaviour will not be tolerated.

We are still accepting up to 3 normal-sized bin bags or boxes per donation. If you are unsure and would like to clarify what we can take and when please call 01437781745 option one for a brief chat.

💚 NIALL & NIGEL 💚 PLEASE SHARE 💚

Niall and Nigel are two castrated Male Pygmy goats who are looking for a new home together. Nigel is the more confident of the two, and he is happy to walk around on a lead. Niall, on the other hand, is a bit more nervous, but he is comfortable following his friend when being moved. They have lived peacefully with other goats in the past and are both healthy with no medical needs.

Applicants interested in rehoming Niall and Nigel will need to have a CPH number and provide the correct facilities for goats, including 24/7 access to shelter. These guys are happy just being goats and need owners who respect that and allow them to interact at their own pace. If you have the space, time, and love to give to these two adorable goats, please consider giving them a forever home where they can thrive and live out their days happily together.

Yesterday we heard of the plight of a dog needing a blood transfusion and they asked if we had a good that fitted the bill!

We did Ginger! He has spent the evening at the vets being spoilt while donating his blood to a. dog in need ❤️

🐱 SANCTUARY ANIMAL AWARENESS 🐱

Although we are predominantly a rehoming centre we are also a sanctuary and have animals that live permanently with us for one reason or another. Many of our followers do not know this or realise how much goes into an average day at the centre so we are going to highlight some of our residents for you to see.

This is Castiel, he is a young male domestic shorthair that arrived with us with a terrible skin condition and his owner was struggling to manage. He has been one of our toughest cases, it took many vet visits, various tests and medication trials but we now have it under control with a strict medication regime.

It’s for that reason Castiel lives with us so we can ensure he receives the treatment plan correctly to remain healthy, even a slight blip can cause a relapse.

Here he is relaxing in our cattery kitchen, Castiel is free at the centre to roam and just do what cats do 💚

Supporting our work doesn’t only mean we can rescue animal in need, it also means we can be there for those that need us forever 💕

Bluey is another recent arrival where a sad situation meant he found himself needing some help. Thanks to our amazing vet Charlotte he’s had a lovely foster home.

Some of his less desirable behaviour was because he was in desperate need of some extensive dental work, he must have been in a lot of pain, this has now been done and we are hoping we have a potential home lined up. As you can see he’s a much happier chap now.

This dental work cost in excess of £700, we are aware we ask a lot, but everyday brings more cost, if you can help Bluey will be eternally grateful 🥹 🙏🏼💚💕

💚 MOLLY AND DOLLY 💚

Molly and Dolly are collie sisters that have lived together their whole life and sadly following the sudden death of their owner they found themselves in a precarious situation.

We stepped in to help 💕

The girls are lovely and eight years old, we know we are asking for a miracle but have to try, we are looking for a dog and cat free home that would take the delightful duo on as part of our Long Term Foster Scheme. In short this means that dogs live with you permanently but we stay responsible for all veterinary costs, there is a LFT agreement which will be fully explained to anyone that maybe able to help.

They would be perfect for an older person/coupe that doesn’t want all the work that comes with younger dogs/puppies and avoid the financial burden of older dogs.

They have lovely temperaments but would rather not share a home with other animals, Dolly has an inoperable tumour that isn’t bothering her at the moment but will need to be monitored by our vets. Molly has recently has a dental and appears in good health.

They’ve obviously been very loved until their owners sad passing, we would love to find them someone who can love them just as much for their remaining years.
