Thought I would share my very own little project! My 60L Marine tank.

Currently have 2 paired clownfish, 3 hermit crabs.

2 frags of Zoa corals, green finger leather and a Toadstool leather coral.

The full set up is a TMC next wave 60 tank, with protein skimmer, pump and lighting.

I have added a small AllPondSolutions cannister below with Seachem media (enough to treat 400L) I also have a UV filter fitted in line to help control any parasites and algae/algae blooms.

Salinity tested most days, other parameters tested at least once a week and a 10% water change carried out every week.

This is not a service I offer for marine but I thought I’d share my own tank 😍

Full setup on this 1000+ litre tank last week ready to get started for some monster fish! 🐠 👹

Whole set up was bought secondhand, both FX6 filters were leak and function tested before setup to find one requires servicing. 🔧 🧰

All pipework set up to run with the second filter when fixed. 🚿🪣

Water drained from the second tank upstairs to get the cycle going, and upstairs filter emptied into this tank to add as much bacteria as possible - hence the dirty water. (This cleared within an hour or so with one FX6 running) 🦠🧬

Plenty more work to be done - new pipework to tidy things up, heater and lighting to be added. 💡 ☄️

Tank is emptied and ready to collect asap.

Good morning everyone! 🐠

Water test, and tank clean up on this beautiful in-built tank. Had a few plants to take care of that were dying, advised on some good products to keep it healthy!

Consultation a few days prior to inspect the tank and advise for some issues with black beard algae.

(Hard to see for reflections pics 1-3 before and water testing, 4-6 is after)

Always enjoy visiting my friends at Weston Aquatics Ltd the obscure and unusual fish, but so beautiful!

They are able to source you almost anything you could want for your aquarium, from tetras to stingrays.

With an impressive stocking of everything you need to keep your tank looking fresh and well fed or maybe it’s looking a little dilapidated and needs some TLC, they sell only the best!

For you aquascaping fanatics there’s plenty of plants, hardscape and plant food for you to choose from.

There really is no limits to this small but mighty high street aquatics shop in Saffron Walden.

🚨 🆘 ‼️ EMERGENCY RESCUE ‼️🆘🚨

Late night call from Weston Aquatics Ltd whilst I was working a night shift to help a customer of his, I was over the next morning to help these fishies!

Tank very cloudy and dirty, fish gasping at the bottom of the tank.

The owners of this tank were on holiday, the fish were being cared for but over fed.

I have visited this tank twice within 24 hours to check up on it and make sure the fish can thrive again.

I have given plenty of advice and recommendations and will be visiting again tomorrow to check up and ensure the fish are making good progress.

Huge transformation on this very messy tank! Overstocked, overfed and under filtered.

The client is now more unable to keep up with the maintenance on their tank and it eventually just got too much.

I have helped clean up this tank and will now regularly maintain it. I have fitted a adequate filter and rehomed some of the guppy’s!

Mr Plec can now enjoy a cleaner home (although I’d say he likes being more of a messy teenager)
