Another Newbie; 4 year old Labrador Floyd 🐾🐶 I sat for him overnight over the recent bank holiday and he welcomed me in enthusiastically ❤️ He Ioves new people, playing chase, and is very affectionate 🥰 He likes to be close by and enjoys as much attention (and food!) as possible 😊 He was a joy to spend time with 🐾🐕

Introducing Max and Buddy; two lively and loveable Golden Doodles who I have just started looking after 🥰 Max is 10 years old and Buddy is a 1 year old pup. Max is more than able to keep up with his younger brother in play fighting and fetch. They are lovely company, very affectionate, playful, and they both gave me a warm welcome with lots of cuddles! I look forward to looking after them for a longer period in October ❤️🐾🐕

Just finishing a 5 day sit with Winnie; a 9 year old Ex racing Greyhound who I’ve looked after every summer for the past 3 years 🐾❤️ An adorable and affectionate girl, who likes to follow me and be close by 🥰 We’ve enjoyed lovely countryside walks, and Winnie has enjoyed sunbathing and of course napping 😴 Always a pleasure to spend time with her 🐕🐾🐶

Meet new boy Albie 🐾🐶 He’s a 4 year old Dachshund x Jack Russell, who is very nervous of new people. We’ve slowly built-up to me walking him on my own, entering the house, and interacting with him. Last weekend I did 2 nights sitting for him; he was very relaxed and content, sitting with me and wanting cuddles, and much more confident on walks. Lovely to see so much progress ❤️🐶🐾

I am now fully booked for overnight sitting until 6th November!! However, you can still book me for pet visits, dog walking, hourly pet sitting and half day sits on selected dates in August, Sept and October.

Due to a cancellation I now have availability in December including Christmas and New Year. Please note that all bookings from 24th Dec through to 1st January will be charged at a premium rate.

This beautiful boy is Harley, he’s 2 years old, and a rescue who’s been with his family only 3 months. I’ve been visiting him daily for two weeks; he’s a very affectionate cat, who wants to spend most of the time cuddling 🥰

Having a lovely week with these two, and we still have a few more days to enjoy together 🥰 I last sat for them 2 years ago and they both remembered me well and welcomed me in straight away. Dotty the greyhound, now 11 has slowed down but is still as affectionate and gentle as ever, and Bertie, a parsons Russell who is now 3 is usually on pigeon patrol in the garden 😂, or sunbathing. Both of them are very relaxed, easy to look after and lovely company 🐾🐶🐕 🐾

Do you need an overnight pet sitter in August?

I have had a cancellation for overnight pet sitting from 21st August to 30th August. I look after pets in the comfort of their own home, I do not offer pet boarding in my home. I can offer overnight sitting and day sits on these dates, and I have some availability for pet visits, and dog walking too.

I’m able to take on new clients for these dates if you are within a 7 mile radius of little Bradley (area shown on the below map).

Just finishing a lovely 10 days spent with 2 adorable French Bulldogs; Luna and Flossie 🐶🐾❤️ Luna is a very nervous dog especially with new people and Flossie is very confident. Luna quickly became comfortable with me after a couple of nights, and both dogs have been very affectionate, and lovely company 🥰 We’ve played scent games, been on new walks with Jenz Pets and had cuddles on the sofa

I had the pleasure of walking 18 month old puppy Max every morning this week 🥰🐾🐶 We did morning walks due to the heat and humidity, and being a clever boy Max lay in the wet grass to cool down as needed. He enjoyed meeting lots of new friends along the way 😊 I will be looking after Max for a week in September so this was a great way for us to get to know each other

This new household has kept me busy with 4 dogs and 2 cats 🐈‍⬛ 🐶 The 4 dogs are Nala, Simba, Roo and Scamp, they are ages 2 to 5. Cats; Garfield aged 1 and Loki aged 3 are indoor cats and mix well with the dogs. I got to know them well at their trial sit, they were very affectionate and welcoming ❤️ I look forward to sitting for them again soon

Pet sitting by Nicola now offers ad hoc dog walking from 20 minutes up to 1 hour in Haverhill and surrounding villages. 🐕 🐾

One of my newest walking clients is Roo; a 5 year old Jack Russell x Shihtzu. I will be overnight sitting for him and his family very soon. As he is nervous of new people and can be reactive I’ve been walking him regularly so he can get to know me and feel more comfortable. He’s loving our walks and is now excited to see me each time rather than nervous. We have progressed each walk and he is happier when I enter his house and now allows me to put his harness on.

Building a bond with nervous pets prior to overnight sitting is very important; walking dogs, and pop in visits are a good way to achieve this.

Pet sitting by Nicola also offers cat care visits that are tailored to meet the needs of your cat(s) in the comfort of their own home 🐈🐾 I recently completed 18 days of visits to two lovely Ragdoll cats called Ethel and Vinnie with the help of Tracey . Their visits included grooming, feeding, water top ups, cuddles, playtime, and litter tray changes. Ethel and Vinnie were both very confident with new people, very easy going, and a pleasure to look after. I look forward to seeing them again this weekend for more visits. Please see the updated calendar for my overnight sitting availability below. I am currently open to taking bookings until 31st October 2024 only.

I still have availability in July and August, and should you wish to book I will need exact dates, timings, and an immediate 50% deposit to secure the dates. Dates can be held provisionally for 7 days only (from the date you enquire), and a deposit must be received by the deadline or the dates will be released for another client to book. This is due to having many people hold dates for longer than 7 days, then cancelling. So please only request dates if you are in a position to pay the full deposit.

This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable and would act as the cancellation fee should you wish to cancel all or part of your booking.

Soon saying goodbye to these 3 after spending 4 days with them. Kyla, Chase and Oliver have made me feel very welcome as always. We’ve had lots of cuddles on the sofa, local walks, and ball games 🐾🐶❤️ A pleasure to look after them and I look forward to sitting for them again in October 🐶🐾

I’ve been looking after this fur baby family regularly for nearly 2 years, and I have just spent a lovely 5 days with them🐈🐶🐾 I enjoyed sunny countryside walks with the dogs; Bailey and Winnie, and lots of cuddles with the cats; Dinky, Wilbur and Edie. The cats and the dogs in this family get on well and often snuggle together 🥰 I look forward to spending a longer period with them in October 🐾
