With heat health warnings in place for many parts of the UK this week, the British Veterinary Association (BVA) is urging pet owners to take extra precautions to keep their animals safe and to act quickly if they spot early signs of heatstroke.

The RSPCA are running free “Cool Dog Summer” workshops online with one tomorrow - Thursday 19th June @ 1pm. Other dates are listed on the flyer below. I highly recommend this for all dog owners.

Me and Tilly have spent 3 weeks together in May and June 🥰 I’ve been looking after Tilly since she was 3 years old, and later this year she will be 10 which is hard to believe!

She is a sweetie ♥️ and fantastic company! She loves exploring and will always find us new walking routes! She also loves a roll in the grass and a paddle in the river 😊🐶🐾

I had the pleasure of spending the recent bank holiday long weekend with this family of 4; Staffie Lola, Rescue dog Ollie, and cats Pip and Pop 🐶🐈🐾 I’ve been pet sitting for them for nearly 4 years now, and they were as affectionate as ever ❤️ Lola has multiple health issues so she is only able to walk a little now, and then goes in her buggy for the remainder of the walk. This way she can enjoy looking out at the view, and doesn’t get left out. Pip the cat also likes to come with us on walks! So it’s quite an event 😂

Too many pictures to post of this lovely bunch 🥰 I had the pleasure to sit for these 5 in Uckerath Village, Hennef in Germany last week. 4 dogs that are all related; the white dog is Paula, she is the mother of the other 3; Pepe, Oscar and Amy. And Nala is the cat who is independent and stays far away from the dogs!

Pepe is a cheeky boy who enjoys lots of cuddles, he will kiss you, and nudge you for more pats! Amy, can be shyer than the others at first but once she accepts you she is very loving. Oscar will love you once you walk him and throw the ball for him. Paula is ball obsessed but this has to be limited due to her age and joints, and she will steal your food if she gets the chance!

All of them were affectionate and lovely company 🥰🐶🐈‍⬛🐾

Excited to be pet sitting in Germany for the first time 🇩🇪 I have had a lovely welcome by these 4 dogs and their owners ❤️ Paula the white dog is the mother of the other 3; Oscar, Amy and Pepe.
