"Boarding kennels and catteries are a bit Marmite. But love them or hate them we are professionals licenced and regulated to take care of your pet while you can’t (do check that the establishment or sitter you use is licenced). Not only during your holidays but house moves, hospital stays or any other emergencies. We work closely with Social Services to take care of pets for people in need until they get back on their feet. So, for needs, we haven’t been required to close during this past year. Unfortunately we’re classed as part of agriculture so haven’t been eligible for much financial support. And it’s having a huge impact on our industry. Kennels and catteries are closing all over the UK. In the Isle of Wight there are 6 establishments 4 of which have closed already. And once they’re gone they may never come back. Planning regulations mean it is increasingly difficult to open new kennels or catteries

Why am I telling you this?

We are having a huge campaign this weekend involving as many media and social media outlets as we can. Keep an eye open for Dispatches on C4 and on Twitter.

You can help by spreading the word and letting people know how much we are struggling. We hope you are keeping safe & well and we really look forward to seeing all you and your family members soon

We ask that Boarding Kennels and Catteries are recognized as directly and severely suffering from the impact of the Covid travel restrictions and be given access to support in the same way as the travel and hospitality industries.

As things are starting to ease up the phone has started ringing! Get your bookings in as soon as possible as we are going to be busy. We have a few changes to the way we will be doing things, but rest assured your dogs will get the same 5* care we have always provided. We look forward to seeing you all soon. Xx

To all our wonderful customers at this very difficult time we want to send you our best wishes and hope that you all remain safe and well. If however you do become unwell or are struggling because you are self isolating and can not get out we want you to know that we will remain open to care for your dogs. We can operate a pick up service to collect dogs from your home. It is just one less thing to worry about, so if you need us, we are here. Much love to you all Gwenda and Paul. ###

ALL SORTED NOW. I have found my forever family and I am so excited that I am going to be trained to be a working dog.

These two beautiful girls are going home today after staying with us for 6 weeks. They have become a part of the family and we are going to miss them so much , but they will be so excited to see their mum and dad.
