We train Canine Hoopers the exciting new low impact fun activity for dogs and their handlers.
Our guys have been busy competing, judging and training all across Britain over the past couple of weeks. Hoopers is certainly taking off all around the country.

Day 2 of our show and the rain was very kind and waited until the end of the show before it decided to fall.

The third and final day of our training camp has come to an end. Thanks to everyone who attended. And of course a huge thank you to our excellent trainers Charlie Turner and Peter Elms. We finished up the evening with a (some may say hilarious ๐คฃ) game of bingo.
Tomorrow we set up for our 3 day competition. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Another journey South to Froghall Hoopers BK9 show this weekend. And a worthwhile trip as Jessi earned enough points to move up to level K4 and Jynti went up to K6. Jynx also earned her first K4 points too. Well done girls ๐คฉ๐๐
Three different Hoopers shows spread out across the country for some of our guys this weekend. Hoopers Hijinks CHUK show in Renfrewshire, Phase Purple independent show in Cumbria and UK Hoopers Junemas Show in Leicestershire. Hoopers is Hoopers! Well done everyone ๐คฉ๐๐

Also new to this years Dog Show in September we will be holding a Have a go Hoopers stall run by Excel Canine Hoopers They will also be doing displays throughout the day.
Canine Hoopers is a relatively new activity to the UK where dogs negotiate a course of hoops, tunnels, mat and barrels. There is no jumping and courses are smooth flowing so it is low impact for the dog. Therefore any breed from young to old can take part. The aim for dog owners is to teach their dogs to complete the obstacles and courses at a distance, so no running is required by the handler. Therefore, it is an activity that owners can enjoy with their dogs no matter what their own fitness level is too ;)
First shows of the outdoor season and these guys battled all kinds of weather this weekend. Rain, hail, snow and sunshine at BK9 Hoopers in Kelso and UK Hoopers in Scunthorpe. Well done everyone, some great results all round.

These guys enjoyed hoopers in two different areas this weekend. Stirling Hoopers CHUK show and West Lakeland BK9 Hoopers show.
And congratulations go to wee Harry who was awarded a lovely rosette from BK9 Hoopers for reaching the first K9 Heroes milestone. Heโs the first dog to achieve this too. Thereโs life in the old dog yet ๐๐ฅฐ

We are also pleased to announce that our show will be using our new baseless hoops and chutes. One of the first shows in Scotland to be using this type of equipment which is already being used throughout England and the rest of Europe, making running courses for dogs even smoother ๐งก
March has certainly been a busy month for Hoopers in Scotland with 3 shows this month. Itโs now the end of Winter indoor shows. These guys have had a blast. Weโre all looking forward to some drier weather and the start of the outdoor show season ๐
You already know about our outdoor Summer show dates at Bowmuir Farm. We are now pleased to announce our dates throughout the Winter months at the indoor arena at Sidewood Farm. It may seem a bit early to think about next Winter but with so many dates in the Scottish Hoopers diary already we thought weโd better get organised ๐ฅด
Lots of Maximum 30 point certificates awarded to these guys at K9s On The Wildside BK9 Show this weekend. Itโs great to receive acknowledgment and encouragement for distance handling which is such an important aspect of Hoopers. Something we teach from the very beginning.
Itโs all about skill training and encouraging our dogs to be independent and confident with the Hoopers equipment. And of course dedicated trainees that follow our training ethos. Well done guys ๐คฉ๐๐
Itโs been a busy month already with Hoopers competitions. Excelโs BK9 show last weekend and Hoopersonics CHUK show this weekend. Doesnโt matter which organisation it is. These guys just LOVE HOOPERS ๐

We had a fun Xmas themed day yesterday. Lots of lovely food provided by our club members and fun courses and treats for the dogs. We particularly enjoyed the Snowman chair challenge โ๏ธ Merry Christmas everyone ๐๐ ๐พ๐๐
And heโs done it! William is now the first dog in Scotland and the UK to achieve Advanced level in CHUK Hoopers, Tunneller, Touch โnโ Go and Barrellers. Congratulations Will and of course Samantha, who helped him along the way ๐
Our guys were spread all over the country this weekend. Judging & competing at Durham Dogs in Durham, Hoopers Hijinks in Lochwinnoch and hoopers demos at The Dog Lovers show in Glasgow. Busy, busy, busy ๐
