Some of you may be aware that over the last few months I have started a new business in the travel industry and have set up as an independent travel consultant which I am absolutely loving. I am still very much involved in my dog walking business, however, when I was offered the opportunity to start my new business which I could fit around dog walking I decided I had nothing to lose and everything to gain!.

As for any new small growing business it can very difficult to compete with larger companies regarding advertising and promoting yourself.

Dear customers it appears this nasty bug that is going round isn't just effecting dogs who have visited the coast and is spreading in popular dog walking areas. If you notice your dog is suffering with sickness, upset tummies and being lethargic pls can I ask that you let me know as vets are advising we do not mix symptomatic dogs with other dogs. I will continue to cleanse and disinfect my van regularly and let you know if I notice your dogs become unwell during a walk. Many thanks. Xx

🐶We have recently seen an increase in the number of dogs coming to us with gastroenteritis🐶
🌡Affected dogs have been suffering from some, or all, of the following signs: vomiting, diarrhoea, reduced appetite, lethargy.
🌡The majority of dogs have recovered well with symptomatic treatment, a small proportion of severe cases may require intravenous fluids and hospitalisation.
🌡The condition appears to be very contagious between dogs, it is therefore advised to keep affected dogs away from healthy dogs to prevent spread. There is no evidence that people should avoid walking their dogs if they are fit and well.
🌡If you are concerned your pet may be unwell then please contact your vet for advice.

That's it for 4 Legs until Jan. I would just like to say a huge thanks for all the lovely cards and gifts, totally overwhelmed and grateful. But most importantly thank you for all your continued custom and support throughout the year. It's been my busiest year so far doing between 25 to 30 walks a week.....god knows how many miles I've clocked up over the year......and now my little legs and feet are ready for a rest.
Some exciting things coming for 4 Legs in 2022 as I'm studying to become a qualified IMDT dog trainer which I'm really looking forward to.

So as restrictions hopefully ease and people start to spend more time away from home, back at school, college, work etc there are going to be lots of dogs unfortunately feeling like this 4 legged fellow bellow 😪. Seperation anxiety can be very stressful for dogs and cause lots of issues, especially at home, including barking, crying, chewing, becoming destructive and pooping/peeing in the house.
Ideally now would be a good time to start spending a bit of time away from your 4 legged friend to help them get used to you not always being around.

4 Legs Dog Walking Service would love to help you out by taking your fur baby out for a fun filled walk, giving you the peace of mind that your dog is in safe hands having exercise and fun whilst you have a bit of time apart . Eleven and I would like to wish all our 4 legs gang and their humans the most wonderful Christmas. It's been a testing year for so many people including myself. Losing some of my gang due to their humans no longer needing me as they were having to work from home, which I understand, has been very difficult in many ways, financially obviously, but the hardest part is that I have had to say goodbye to dogs that became very special to me, dogs that become as special to me as my own. I also feel slightly cheated that I missed the summer with my 4 legs gang and it has felt like winter just rolled into winter again, dark days, muddy, wet and cold walks. There have honestly been day's where I have woken up and thought to myself maybe it would be easier to give it up and go back to doing a 9 to 5!. But then I pick up your beautiful fur babies and I can do nothing but feel happy. Everyday they make me smile, make me laugh and make me feel like it's all totally and utterly worth it.
I want to thank those that have been fortunate enough to be able to continue to use my service during the year, a special thank you to those that supported me financially during lock down. Thank you to my new customers that have enabled me to re build my business. Thank you for all your continued support, for trusting me with your beautiful dogs and for all your wonderful cards and gifts for Christmas.
Hopefully 2021 will be a better year for us all. Happy Christmas. Xx 🌲🐕❤🐾🚶‍♀️🐾🎅

Did you know 4 Legs are happy to take your 4 legged friend on a temporary basis to help you out when you need it.

This is Jack, the squirrel 🐿 crazy, but very adorable Cockerpoo. Jack has been for an hrs walk with the 4 legs gang every day for the last two weeks while his human was busy attending a training course, meaning she was unable to get him out for his regular walk. We've had an absolutely fantastic two weeks with Jack and we will certainly miss him next week. Hopefully see you again soon beautiful boy. Xx ❤🐕🐾🚶‍♀️🐾❤

When you take Loony Luna for a walk thinking it must be her first walk of the day because she's absolutely WILD and her human tells you she's done already done a 6 mile run with her early doors!. Not wired up right!! 😜🤣😂. Let's hope she's sleeping now? Xx 🐾🚶‍♀️🐕❤

Our Little Friends lockdown update:

Our Little Friends will be operating as normal during the lockdown period. The shop will be open Monday-Friday 9am-4pm and Saturday 9am- 5pm. Our free delivery service will operate as normal throughout York and surrounding areas Monday-Friday.
