Just a reminder that lessons are running as usual from yesterday apart from Wednesday where we will be closed .

Unless cancelled we will be expecting all riders for their normal weekly or fortnightly slots .

Please also as a reminder we have a 24hr cancellation policy in place as per our rider registration forms .

🎄Christmas opening hours 🎄

Please note that you will be booked in for your normal weekly slot unless it falls on a day we are closed . Please if you are away for christmas etc let us know.

Rda celebration of christmas will be on from 2.30 today . All Welcome .

All horses and ponies in and safe from the weather . No damage here so far and we are surprisingly sheltered .
Running as usual tomorrow and our carol service still going ahead tomorrow afternoon .

Its with heavy hearts we will not be opening for lessons or pony club tomorrow. With yellow and amber warnings out we feel its not safe for clients , staff or horses to run the sessions .

We will be doing our hardest to book everyone in for something during the week next week so please contact us ASAP to let us know you have seen this message and to re book . Stay safe everyone.

Riding School Instructor / Coach

Old Mill Stables are looking to recruit a Qualified Horse Riding Instructor. Previous experience and suitable training is required. Teaching qualifications such as BHS, Pony Club or ABRS are expected in the successful candidate.
The position may suit an experienced riding instructor who has taken a career break or someone newly qualified seeking to expand and develop their experience.
An induction period to get to know our horses and regular riders will be undertaken with one of our existing instructors.

Instructors will need the ability to safely and effectively manage a group or private session from on lead rein upwards, whilst making the session fun and interesting for the clients.

Additionally we are happy to provide training as part of the job towards further BHS qualifications.
An in date First Aid at Work certificate and safeguarding certificate would be advantageous.

Working hours
Initially part time (but scope to do more) - hours to be agreed with candidate after interview, shift work on a rota based system
Salary/hourly rate
To be agreed - dependant on experience / agreed hours etc

Our ever popular Rusty Rider course is back , this time we are aiming it towards the complete beginner rider or riders who have only been in the saddle a little while .

Limited spaces so grab them quick.

We still have limited spaces available to ride within our RDA sessions .

We also are really in need of more volunteers ! Could you spare some time on a Wednesday ? No horse experience required.

We look forward to welcoming our riders back on Monday 16th and Wednesday 18th.

We do currently have spaces for younger lighter riders due to smaller horses being available. - please note our sessions run term time and during school hours. Please contact us if your are interested.

We also welcome back our amazing volunteers- without you all , we just couldnt run . Do you have some spare time you could offer us on a monday morning or a Wednesday?
