Putting in the new shelter this morning!

We have since moved the picnic table into the shelter for the Winter to give you somewhere to sit out of the wind and rain.

We have also dug in some paving slabs to make it accessible for all.🥰

‼️‼️BIG NEWS! ‼️‼️

A few months ago we did a poll on here and asked what new facility you would like in the dog park.

An overwhelming majority said they would like a field shelter that you could stand in out of the wind and rain whilst throwing balls and exercising your dogs.

So next Wednesday 2nd October we are going to make a start on that! 🎉🎉

Part 1

The dog park will be closed in the morning of 2nd Oct so we can take some turf up and put some hard core down for the large container to sit on.

Part 2

The container will be moved to the site the week after next, and be ready to use from then onwards. We will confirm the date that week.

Just in time for the Winter!

It won’t be exactly like the picture below but not far off 😃

We are delighted to announce that we will be donating our takings for Wednesday to Last Chance Hotel Animal Rescue & Rehome, Cornwall UK to celebrate our news below!

Please do get booking to support this wonderful local charity. 😃

Wow! I’m absolutely delighted to announce that we have been judged and selected as one of only three finalists for The Most Dog Friendly business in Cornwall by Cornwall Tourist Board.

And for the third year running too!

We are over the moon and looking forward to the awards ceremony at Truro Cathedral on November 7th where we will find out if we have come first, second or third.

Will keep you posted! Fingers and toes crossed! 🤞🤞🍀

Farmer Rich has just cut the Bark Park and he’s also cut a new path through the wild flowers at the top of the field next to Bark Park!

If you would like to get up close to Nature, do take a stroll around the new path next to the The big green shed car park.

First grass cut of the season!
First grass cut of the season!

I’ve had quite a few people ask me if it’s muddy here. We are lucky. The field is free draining so despite all the rain, we don’t have mud. We also let the grass grow a little longer in the Autumn which helped to avoid a muddy mess too. Now the sun is out, the grass was cut yesterday, and today it’s been strimmed around the equipment so it’s all looking good. 😊

We are delighted to celebrate our first birthday at the BARK PARK! I know! That time has gone soo quickly! We are giving away a one hour slot ( picked at random) to those who comment with a pic of their dogs here below! Thanks to everyone who has supported us this year! 😊🐶. #dogpark #localbusiness. #cornwall

We have upgraded our fencing to two meters on the clear sides and around the middle gate to stop people jumping in/out of the dog park. It should also provide comfort for those with dogs that can ‘fly’ too 😃😅
