Who’s up for a roast this Sunday followed by a run at the dog park?

Just 5 spaces left for lunch at 1pm and slots from 3pm onwards at the dog park.

Morning folks, looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible to kick start your weekend the right way! 💚

Because the demand for roast has been so popular we will be hosting one on Sunday 16th February also.

Low and slow Beef brisket or Lentil Nut Roast
Roast potato’s
Red cabbage
Cheesy leeks
Roasted carrot
Swede mash
Yorkshire pudding
Horseradish Crème Fraiche

Dessert:
Chocolate pot, orange curd, fairing biscuit.

Breakfast will therefore be served up until 11.45am on the morning.
Sit down for roast at 1pm.

BUSINESS OPEN AS USUAL.

The road between Townshend and Relubbus is closed for a couple of days til Wednesday this week, due to highways doing some drainage work. However it is open for business customers and residents so please tell them you are attending here and they will let you through.

For those that have not used The Bark Park at Townshend before, you book online using this link. Don’t forget to put your post code in when you get to the card details stage.

It’s £6 for 30 mins and £10 for an hour for up to 4 dogs. Any more dogs is £1 each up to 10 dogs.

After you have booked you will get an email and text with the key code and instructions. (Remember to bring your phone with you or write it down. )
You drive in with your dogs on board and park INSIDE THE PARK. And then unload your dogs once you have closed the gate behind you. There is a bolt at the inside bottom of the gate to pull across to protect those in the park.
There is a shelter inside the park if it’s raining.

Happy 2025! Big year for doggos!

It’s the last year of the current Dogs on Beaches PSPO so get ready for a huge DGS campaign drive from May, to ensure our beaches remain dog friendly all year round, and the current restrictions remain.

Cornwall Council are likely to launch their consultation Sept-Nov to ask members of the public their views, which will determine seasonal restrictions 2026-2028.

There has been a lot of negativity in St Ives, a whole FB forum dedicated to moaning, mostly about dogs (🙄) so we can’t get complacent, they’re madder than ever and will no doubt oppose our efforts, even those reliant on dog friendly trade (big difference between promoting a business to be dog friendly, and actually welcoming dogs). The town council went quiet on us, no new signage, no dedicated enforcement officer, uploaded misleading info and with a new Environmental Committee Leader since last renewal, they could even consider taking the order back in house which would be an absolute disaster for St Ives, if anything like before.

We need all visiting and residing dog walkers who want to use the beaches to get onside and participate otherwise we risk another blanket ban. There were 3k less participants 2022 than three years before when dog walkers were the overwhelming majority. This will be our toughest year yet, with the anti doggers so fired up we’re potentially back to where we were started 😬

Please help get the word out there and grateful for any support, when the time comes to hand out cards detailing how to participate.

Merry Christmas to all our lovely customers and their pooches!

We have left the grass a little bit longer to ensure the park doesn’t get muddy after all the wind and rain we have had over the last few weeks!

We have an hour space at 2pm still available and 30 mins 12-30 to 1pm on Christmas Day.

And lots of availability on Boxing Day afternoon still.

Putting in the new shelter this morning!

We have since moved the picnic table into the shelter for the Winter to give you somewhere to sit out of the wind and rain.

We have also dug in some paving slabs to make it accessible for all.🥰

‼️‼️BIG NEWS! ‼️‼️

A few months ago we did a poll on here and asked what new facility you would like in the dog park.

An overwhelming majority said they would like a field shelter that you could stand in out of the wind and rain whilst throwing balls and exercising your dogs.

So next Wednesday 2nd October we are going to make a start on that! 🎉🎉

Part 1

The dog park will be closed in the morning of 2nd Oct so we can take some turf up and put some hard core down for the large container to sit on.

Part 2

The container will be moved to the site the week after next, and be ready to use from then onwards. We will confirm the date that week.

Just in time for the Winter!

It won’t be exactly like the picture below but not far off 😃
