Day off well spent!! Little Ebby’s first canter since coming back into work. She really enjoyed herself and I’m so glad that we had the best company, one of my sponsored riders Anna Law with her lovely Sadie 🐴

So many beds!!

I always strive to make my beds as clean and tidy as possible for your beloved furry friends. If I wouldn’t sleep in it, neither will your horse!! (Don’t tell my Ebb, but I have had a nap in her fresh straw bed previously!🫣

I would love to know your favourite type of bedding! Mine at the moment, is Burly Bed Lite!

Mane and forelock tidy for my girl. I let it grow out while she was poorly and out of work so was now definitely due a tidy up. Sadly missing a third of her mane to a tree 🌳 Her beard and tail will be next to go! I’m available for mane tidies. Lots of poo picking this week, obviously followed by a Trink Dairy milkshake 🥛

Poo picking is super important in many different ways. This includes:
> Palatability. Since removing the poo means that there are less “sour” or “stale” patches.
> Worms. Since worm eggs and larvae are deposited through droppings, when your horses are grazing around the manure, they can injest these and they then end up in their digestive tracts. Poo picking helps to reduce the worms life cycle.
> Flies. Now that summer will soon be approaching, flies are attracted to your horses poo, which will irritate your furry friend! Especially those with skin conditions such as sweet itch, it’s super important to keep on top of this.
> Observation. Poo picking is a great way to identify any hazards in your horses fields. Such as holes, toxic plants, damaged fencing (or for some of you - makes it easier to search for missing horse shoes and/or boots!!)
> Eye sore. For me this is a big one, the sight of a non poo picked field just upsets my eyes, it isn’t a pretty sight! And how satisfying is it when you’ve left it a bit longer than you’d hoped and it’s all clear!

A bit of an exciting week for Ebb. She’s been looking so well for a while now so I thought we’d pull her out of retirement and give riding another go. We’ve been secretly lunging for a few weeks and had our first sit and hack this week and she has been amazing and so calm! 🤍 I’m not getting my hopes up too much as we don’t know if it’ll be too much for her in the long run, but for now, we’re both so happy! 🥰
