We set dogs and owners up for sucess, we also train dogs though play, kindness and nurturing them along with understanding there needs and motivations This training session show how we slowly pregress the sendaway, by using the yellow marker it helps us show the gradual progression to sucessfully send the dog from the distance of the blue post! Training is about mini little stepping stones not massive leaps, we are bursting with pride ✨

This little one is feeling frustrated and so we have taken a look at her routine and learning about her. Pain was certainly a concern and after a check up she has been provided with a course of pain relief to help with the tightness in her back, thank goodness when we assess we look at everything.
This girlie is building a bond with dad and has a new routine which will help build consistency and has begun a dog sport which will mentally and physically enrich her but also a great bonding exercise with mum and dad

Tell us a bit about yourself:
I’m a sable German Shepherd, i love cuddles, brushes, learning and most importantly toys. I was bred to guard and herd so can be a bit protective of things.

What’s your favourite thing to do?
I love playing ball and frisbee, as well as scent work. I also have my bestest cuddly friend Donkey and I love to take him everywhere I go, even the garden when the sun shines.

What’s your favourite toy or food?
So many favourite toys - my frisbee, my ball, my donkey soft toy, but perhaps the highest value toy I have is my juju, but I am only allowed this when I train to keep me super focused.

What’s your favourite activity you do or have done at Enriched Dog Training UK and why?
I love scent work - and loved the car game where I got to cover my mums car in mud while searching it! I have just completed my second confidence training and even the vet noticed that I am getting to be a braver boy and I also received a second medal, which I’m so proud of. I’m now learning hoopers, this is tough thinking but I love getting to run around with my juju.

If you were to recommend the Enriched Dog Training UK to other pups/ dogs and their owners, what would you say?
When I started training at EDTUK I was quite nervous and anxious, but while I’m still a cautious lad I am learning the world isn’t as big and scary as I thought - it’s fun and exciting. Also Auntie Rachel is amazing, she tailors training for me and when I am having a tough day she makes the training suit me so I don’t get too overwhelmed, also she gives the bestest good boys they always make me very happy.

What is your best-ever achievement?
When I went on walkies the whole world seemed really scary and I just didn’t know what was safe and what was something I needed to avoid. Some doggies were friendly and some were very angry and I needed help. The training I did with my hoomans have helped make walkies much more fun, if I’m worried I just check in with them and they give me lovely tasty treaties and I know everything is ok.

Finish the sentence….My hooman is so proud of me because - I’m just the bestest, handsomest boy in the whole world.

Favourite enrichment activity?
I can’t choose, all the activities are amazing. I also liked the enrichment field, I took my bestest friend there and we had so much fun together

Tell us a bit about yourself:
I’m 3 a GSD and 100% princess. I know what I like and hate repeating myself. I’m pretty loving and believe I must snog anyone who shows me the slightest bit of attention

What’s your favourite thing to do?
Swamping, swamping swamping! The muddier the better, but not in the sea as waves are terrifying even small ones. Also I love doing absolutely nothing on the sofa all day.

What’s your favourite toy or food?
Salmon and Chicken. I will sell your soul for some roast chicken or smoked salmon. I also really enjoy drinking my mums tea in the evening. My favourite toy is my bear. I must sleep on it and repeatedly put it in the garden at all times. Even though mum keeps putting it back in the house. I like to repeat this at least 3 times a day.

What’s your favourite part about coming to the Enrichment Secure Field and why?
I love jumping on the A frame and digging the sand pit. When aunty Rachel has the ball pit out I like to squish every single one. I also love running around like a crazy dog and not having to deal with other dogs.

What’s your favourite activity in the Enrichment Secure Field?
A frame and jumping on the boxes. I’m pretty good at hurdles also.

If you were to recommend the Enrichment Secure Field to other pups/ dogs and their owners, what would you say?
It’s one of my favourite places to be silly. Eat a lot of chicken and sniff all the sniffs. I like that I also don’t have to deal with other scary dogs who stare at me (I know I’m beautiful but no need to stare)

Hoopers

This handsome boys is back after his summer holidays and we are buzzing!! He was trotting through them hoops like he hasn’t been away, today’s session was building forward drive and a little distance and he smashed his goals.

Socialisation course final class : obstacle course fun 🤩

These teams have smashed it! Huge congratulations to them all sucessfully completing there socilisation course whereby they have been proof lots of training behaviours but most importantly how to disengage when other dogs and people are close by, this has been a great class who have grown in confidence and their bonds flourished with there humans sooooo proud of them all 🌟🫶🏼

Tell us a bit about yourself:
Australian kelpie, 3 (in May 2024), the product of 2 working parents so has an almost insatiable desire to be busy and working (at anything). Struggles to switch off but super bright, eager to learn and a loves people. Confident but also sensitive. Essentially a gr***de with legs!

What’s your favourite thing to do?
Loves swimming, being busy and being outdoors. Games, like ball or tuggy, are the favourites but also loves to sniff out hidden things. Loves cuddly toys. Likes to be busy all the time.

What’s your favourite toy or food?
I Love soft toys - hamburgers, squirrels & sprouts are my most adored. Some are very tattered and a bit gross but they are well loved.

 What’s your favourite activity you do or have done at Enriched Dog Training UK and why?
Hoopers, keeps the brain busy and engaged. Helps build listening skills and trust between us. Also makes the owner fun and exciting. Likes finding things so enjoys scent lessons too.

If you were to recommend the Enriched Dog Training UK to other pups/ dogs and their owners, what would you say?
You can learn new skills, have fun, get outside, build/enhance the bond between dog and owner and it’s a safe space, non judgmental and sets dogs and owners up for success

What is your best-ever achievement?
Learning hoopers so quickly as well as other tricks but also just making people smile

Tell us a bit about yourself: I am 84% Border Collie & 16% New Zealand Huntaway and was born on the 20th of November 2022
I am not a morning dog, I like to wake up slowly before going out, I enjoy meeting people, playing with other dogs but also enjoy my own company when it’s been a busy few days.

What’s your favourite thing to do?
I’m at my happiest when I’m learning something new and overcoming challenges, i also enjoy swimming and of course playtime is also a good time!

What’s your favourite toy or food?
Frisbee 🥏, and broccoli is my favourite food but apparently I’m not allowed too much of it 🥦

What’s your favourite part about coming to the Enrichment Secure Field and why?
The different obstacles you don’t find on a daily basis or at other secure fields. It is also good place to bond with my owners, working together is my favourite.

What’s your favourite activity in the Enrichment Secure Field? Trying new things you don’t find anywhere else I’ve been, the seesaw took me at a surprise when I first leaped on to it, but I’m beginning to master that.

If you were to recommend the Enrichment Secure Field to other pups/ dogs and their owners, what would you say? I met my best friend Marv today and told him how awesome it is, there is something for every dog, big or small, agile or not! You have to go and learn there!

Training 💖 multi dog household and can I say these owners are amazing, one of these gorgeous dogs is just reaching her 3 month settle in her forever home mile stone.
They have been amazing at creating a safe forever home for her and need some support to help provide outlets for her and continue building her confidence. We look forward to seeing this lovely family soon to continue building her confidence 🌟
