💔 Holly & Hannah were rescued 21 years ago

😢 Someone had made wire bits that left their poor muzzles badly torn & wounded. The pain they suffered must have been unimaginable 🤕- They underwent surgery to remove barbed wire which must have been such a relief. Now they both love life in our sanctuary- happy donkeys 🥰

💔 Look at this poor donkey's hooves😒

😢 This donkey's overgrown hooves are causing immense pain. Long hooves put abnormal stresses & strains on the tendons, particularly at the back of the lower limbs and the pain is relentless & gets worse as the overgrowth increases 😡 But thanks to our mobile clinic, our skilled farrier Wael was able to provide urgent care.

Thank you so much for supporting the Donkeys in Israel, West Bank, Egypt and now Gaza. They suffer so much and need our help. I did the zipwire yesterday and so far the appeal has brought in over £6,000 - doubled up to £12,000 by a kind supporter. Being a bit crazy I really enjoyed the experience 'flying' across Bournemouth Pier. Even the sun shone with lots of families on the beach. Now today (28th) I celebrate my 80th birthday. 😳 As you can imagine, with over 200 rescued donkeys & foals, our feed bill is incredibly high especially with continued rising costs of living 😲

🌙 Moon (then & now)

😔😪Moon was found as a stray little foal 🍼in 2016 wandering the streets alone. 😌 She must have been hungry, thirsty & absolutely terrified so young without her poor Mum - heartbreaking 💔
