How Beautiful is Dottie 😍😍😍😍😍

Dottie is a regular at Poppy’s Pawfection.
She hates every stage of the grooming process and we’ve been working with Dottie to improve both cooperation and confidence. Mum and dad like to take advantage of our Bath and Dry events as an extra opportunity to bring Dottie into the grooming salon to help improve cooperation further.

Regular Oscar has been for a bath & brush today.

Dad likes to take advantage of our bath and brush events when they fall between Oscar’s Regular groom appointments to help keep him looking as smelling fresh.

Whilst here today we gave him a little complimentary tidy up after his bath as it’s a few weeks until his next full groom appointment.

A new face at Poppy’s Pawfection for our Bath & Brush event.

Meet very handsome Arlo the Labrador 😍.
He’s a very anxious boy and it was his first time at the groomers.

He was too anxious to go near the bath so we worked with him and carried out the things he was happy with. We adapted to Arlos needs and instead of forcing a boy who is frightened to go in the bath we gave him a good blast with the dryer (which he actually didn’t mind) and a good Deshed all carried out with Arlo on the floor as he wasn’t keen on going on the table either. We still managed to remove so much hair during his first appointment and gave him a good spritz of perfume before he left.

Mum was still happy with the outcome and we have spoken to mum about future acclimation sessions ❤️

Regular Maple has been in for her appointment but this time without her Sister Nova.

She was still very confident and well behaved throughout her groom despite being used to having her sister there with her, We did have a-bit of a debate over whether her nails were being trimmed today or not 🫣 but with some bribery with treats we got them done 🥳

Not the best Photos from today appointment Maple was not keen on sitting and posing without her sister she just wanted to dive on me instead 🤣

Starting early helps your puppy get used to grooming, making future visits much easier.

We recommend starting grooming appointments once the puppy has been cleared to go out after their last vaccination. Until this time you can help by introducing your puppy to brushing at home.

What’s included in our puppy grooms:
(if tolerated by puppy)
* Bath, dry and brush through
* knots removed
* Nail trim
* Ear cleaning
* Hygiene trim
* Trim around eyes
* Advice for caring for your puppy’s coat at home

Please note, it is not always possible to complete a puppy groom in full if it unsafe to do so.

Cockerpoo George has been for a puppy introduction session today.

In all the excitement of introducing him to the sounds and smells of the grooming salon I had started his bath before we remembered we had not taken a before photo 🫣

He posed nicely in the bath and then showed off his after look with pride 🥰

He has such beautiful colouring.
