We have had an amazing couple of weeks with Trail Hunt International. Firstly we had Star and Trick complete their Free Trail achievement. Both absolutely aced this.
Today Lily and Monty completed their surface Transition achievement. They are both such different workers and it was lovely to watch them and their handlers learning more trail hunt skills.
Trail Hunt is quite addictive and open to any dog and handler.
Well done teams!!!!

We had a brilliant day today hosting a Level 3 and Level 1 Nosework Games.
I was on strict instructions to rest up today but love a trial. Thank you to everyone for checking I was ok and getting yourselves in the right places at the right times, it made it a breeze for me (I will try and rest for the weekend but need to research how to do that first!)

This morning we had the Level 3.

I found out Watsons have been hiding a whole new awesome search area so we booked in to give the dogs a run today! They absolutely loved it and searched their socks off.
The area was quite crowded and different to what the dogs and handlers have been used to.
It was nice to keep stepping outside to feel the warmth!

I told the competitors of todays trial that I was going to do a sun dance for the day! It sure paid off 🌞

We had a brilliant day and lots of handlers and pooches getting their Vit D fix!!

That has got to be the coldest wettest Watsons day ever!!! The sleet was horrid but all the dogs and handlers embraced it and searched amazingly!
We were outside for the most of it but treated ourselves to a little indoor search at the end. Well done everyone!

So it's official Claire Baker has signed up to her biggest ever challenge which is...... to spend 5 days with me twittering on about absolute nonsense! We are thowing in an extra challenge which is to walk 100 miles across the South Downs Way carrying all our equipment and food. Going without showers and electric for some nights.
Claire's mum has been battling cancer for the past 6 years, she is a remarkable lady and I know only too well how much hospices are essential to support families through times like this. So please see the link below and I am sure there will be lots of updates of our training and the big event!!!!

Its taken me a bit of time to write this because its such sad news. Lola has grown her wings :-( up until the very end she loved her scent work and her mind was fully on the job, however her body was failing her.
Lola gave us so many laughs and the best cuddles, she knew and loved her job. I get to know my clients dogs so well, some of them attending classes for years! This is never an easy time and our thoughts are with Zilda and her family.
Fly high Mrs Flooofy! You will be so missed 😔💔

Due to the windy weather we did a quick venue change for the Nosework Game trial to the Chapel. This venue worked amazingly for todays games and kept everyone dry.

We started the day with Level 3
Hidden Treasure caused lots of handlers and dogs issues and they had to work hard.

The dogs all cruised through No going back with all the dogs finding all the finds!

All Clear proved no problems for Frankie who came 1st with her handler Jenny. In 2nd place Jane and Doone and 3rd Sophie and Spudd

Overall we saw Jane and Doone take the winner podium and trophy!!! Well done!!!! in second place Teresa and Will, 3rd Sophie and Spudd and in 4th place Dave and Lily.

Brilliant searching from everyone, well done.

The wind had died down by the afternoon when we greeted the level 1 competitors.

This lot aced Hidden Treasure with 1st place going to Natasha and Myrtle, 2nd place Claire and Rey and 3rd place 6 month old Kami and Debs at her 1st trial!!!

No going back worked well in this venue with speedy Diesel and Stephen taking 1st place, 2nd place Debs and Kami pulled it out the bag again! and in 3rd Place Claire and Rey

All clear was Claire and Reys game with them coming 1st, Sarah and Pocket took 2nd place and Debs and Kami came in 3rd place.

Overall we had Claire and Rey in 1st place, Claire hasn't had the easiest journey with Rey. Reys 1st scent lesson she sat quivering on Claire lap. With time and patience Rey now struts into the barn and from today she can proudly look at her trophy to celebrate how far they have come. In 2nd place was baby Kami with Debs, this is one to watch out for, she is absolutely brilliant and I want her! In 3rd place Stephen with Diesel and Natasha and Myrtle took 4th place. Also to qualify today was Sarah and Pocket.

A massive well done to everyone today in both levels. I love being part of your journeys, watching you all have YOUR very own WOW moments.

Having this venue I could hear you all chattering away making the day a great social occasion!

Fab morning helping Rhea at Cloud Nine K9s Scentwork & Search Dogs at her NWG. Was able to compete with Buddy too and the boy did me proud once again.
Needle in a Haystack 3 finds 12 seconds in total!!!!
Overall we got 1st place. I am so lucky to have this boy and get the chance to allow him to do what he loves most!
Thanks Rhea and fantastically run trial and great venue!
