We’re up and getting ready to go - yesterday we got to see lots of our fabulous daycare dogs. They were treated to a big welcome from their biggest fans (daycare staff) and received lots of treats.

Day two has arrived and we can't wait to welcome you on site. Our team have worked tirelessly to get everything ready for day two of our wonderful weekend.

If you are travelling to see us this weekend take extra time to allow for traffic; there is a small section of road close to our parking entrance that has traffic lights so it may add a few minutes to your journey. We’ve lots of very big signs up to help get you to the right car parks.

Don’t forget we will never add you as a friend or ask you to subscribe to links to watch live feeds of the festival - the spam is out in force so don’t get caught out.

Please be kind to our staff, have a great time with our activity providers, enjoy our main arena, pick up something new in the wellness tipi, make new friends at the breed hang out, support great causes with the dog shows and shop with our amazing exhibitors...BUT mostly.....have an absolutely fantastic day out!

Special thanks to our K9 Room staff for giving up some of their Saturday to help out in the stall, I couldn’t do it without you all.

As the sun sets on the final day of preparations for the weekend our team are still busy making sure everything is perfect! Some of our traders are already in and most of activities are setup ❤️

Despite a shorter week we still packed in a lot, starting every day with a very good run around the outdoor area which meant that our nap times were very successful!

We’re very excited to be spending the weekend and cannot wait to see our four legged friends out and about enjoying all it has to offer.

Next week is our seaside themed week and we have a lot planned for our dogs. They’ll get frozen fruit treats everyday and be able to play a range of seaside themed games. Hope to see you all there 🐶🐾

⭐️STAR OF THE WEEK⭐️ Shes a fabulous girl but sometimes she needs to fight the breed instinct to start herding a couple dogs! Over the last few weeks we’ve loved seeing her build new friendships and see daycare as fun and not part of her job. We do also get a lot of cuddles from her when she’s not running wild. What a lovely lady you are 🐾🐶

Top Tips for a great day out!

You've less than 24 hours left to get your early bird tickets! Don’t forget weekend tickets are not available on the gate - only on our website.

> Bought tickets? Make sure you have them printed or accessible on your phone for scanning. Plan ahead, our handy show guide has timetables and maps to help you work out where you want to be and what you want to see and do.

> Tickets can be bought on the gate with cash or card.

> Parking gates open at 8.30am and main gates open at 9.00am. Please ensure you take care on the country roads; this is a popular route for cyclists. Drive slowly once on site. Parking staff will direct you. No dogs to be left in cars in the general parking. Checks will be made.

> Some traders may not have card facilities so cash is recommended.

> Ensure you have suitable and comfy footwear as this is entirely field based.

> Please take a moment to think whether your dog will enjoy the festival; some dogs find crowds and noise stressful. There is still plenty to see and do without a dog.

> Dogs must be on a lead during the whole festival (unless under instruction in an activity). Please DO NOT use an extendable lead when visiting, we don’t want any doggy maypoles. Prong, shock/e-collars re not permitted. Don’t forget the welfare of your dog is your responsibility throughout the duration of the festival and they must not be left unattended at any time.

> When entering your dog(s) in any of the shows, have-a-go rings or activities you do so at your own risk. You must follow the instructions given by the staff/trainers. Keep in mind that some activities may not be suitable for all dogs, e.g activities that have a minimum age or fitness level requirement. We also ask that you consider your dog's temperament before undertaking any activities - if your dog has no recall and not normally off the lead; we wouldn’t recommend their first time being at the festival.

> Please take note of all signage on the day. The site is very large and as parts are a working farm all rules must be adhered to.

> Make sure you bring a dish and water for your dog, whilst there are dishes dotted around, as their human guardian you are responsible for your dog.

> If you are bringing children ensure you collect a blank wristband and write a contact number. Wristbands will be available on the main gate. Ensure your children are aware of the steward tent as a contact point. Please make sure your children are supervised at all times and are aware about dog safety.

We’re over half way through our puppy classes now with only two weeks left to go! We’ve loved meeting a new bunch of pups and seeing them become great friends over the last few weeks. This week we played in the outdoor area, learning to go up and down the seesaw and they experienced a ball pit for the first time too 🐶🐾

You’ll find us and North East Pet Shop next weekend cheering on the daycare dogs! One of our boys was the ‘Best Catcher’ last year and it was fantastic to watch him win 🐾🐶

Dog shows run throughout the weekend with a range of classes. Each class has a start time and can be entered via registration at the corresponding charity dog show area on the day. Dog shows are rope fenced and entry fees may vary from show to show. All 1st place winners can visit the stewards area with their 1st place rosette to choose a limited edition festival character pin badge. Classes will have rosettes from 1st to 10th place.

Has your dog got their shopping list sorted?

We've no shortage of amazing exhibitors this year! There's everything you could want for your dog, plus plenty of non-dog related stalls, scrumptious food, mouth watering drinks and some fantastic local clubs and charities as well.

List is subject to change so we recommend checking with the exhibitor first if you are coming specifically for them. Our Wifi provider will ensure easier transactions but we also recommend bringing cash. You can check our the list below or download our handy show guide so you can look on the move.

To welcome some of our pups back to daycare after their summer holidays and to end the summer in the best way we’ll be having what will be the first of many themed weeks at daycare. We can’t wait to bring a bit of extra fun to daycare for our fabulous dogs. Feel free to send them in with beach themed props for what will definitely be a fantastic photo op 🌊☀️🏖️

PET SHOP TRIP 🐶 Monday Daycare Dogs would you like a visit to the pet shop? We’ll be doing another mini field trip on Monday so let us know when you drop your dogs off if they would like a visit and a treat from the shop. All dogs are able to join us even if they don’t want any to pick anything out. We had such a fun time last week that we wanted to bring a bit of fun to our Monday 🐾🐶
