This month is the DDRC committee’s annual meeting, where we will be discussing our plans for this exciting upcoming 2025 show season 🐴

We will be reviewing all the invaluable feedback you have provided during this year’s shows; across our socials; and at our December prize giving ✅

Please use this as an opportunity to comment below or DM us to contribute any further feedback (both positive and constructive), topics you would like us to discuss, as well as suggestions for anything you’d like to see or improved on in the upcoming shows 📲

Last weekend was our 2024 member awards presentation evening 🏆🎉

The evening had a great turn out, thank you to all who joined us on the night.
We had a fun horsey-themed quiz, awarded our class champion and reserve trophies, and crowned our five ring champion of champions!
Attendees also had the opportunity to provide invaluable feedback and engage with our committee.

This year, our Champion of Champions received large engraved sponsored trophies, and stylish embroidered EK9B show luggage sets.

[If anyone achieved a trophy and was unable to attend the awards evening, please DM us to arrange postage/collection]

A big thank you to you all from the DDRC committee, we look forward to seeing you all at our 2025 shows!

We’re looking forward to welcoming you all tonight at our 2024 Awards Presentation Evening!

This evening we award our combinations who have earned member points throughout the season, with champion and reserve champions awarded for each class type 🥇🥈
We will also announce and award the ring champion of champions 🏆

There will be light tea/coffee refreshments, plenty of parking on site, a fun quiz with prizes, and the opportunity to discuss feedback with the committee ahead of next season 💭

DDRC PRESENTATION EVENING 2024

The date is set for our upcoming championships presentation evening 🏆

SATURDAY 16TH NOVEMBER 19:30

Trophies are awarded for DDRC member combinations who have accumulated the highest number of points in 2024 for each class, plus our reserve combinations, and our ✨ champion of champions ✨ for each ring 🐴

All members, non-members, and supporters are welcome to attend, regardless if they have won an award.

This evening is also a good opportunity to pass the committee any feedback, openly discuss ideas for our classes, and tell us what you would like to see at our future shows 💭

The showground is set up, ready and we are counting down to tomorrow’s event! 🏆

Key reminders❗️for those attending show day:

🐴 The postcode for the event is HP2 4UB - Please park in the designated parking field only when coming to the show.
Please DO NOT ❌ park at Westwick Row Farm (Kims Equestrian Riding School).

🐴 Entries are accepted on the day.
We encourage you to visit Horse Monkey (link below 📲) to book and ease the queues at the office on show day.
Please head to the office if you wish to pay by cash or to speak with the secretaries 👋

🐴 PRE-ENTRIES - Your number will be in the pre-entry folder 📁 on the table next to the show office.
You do not need to queue at the office to collect your number. Numbers are in surname order.

🐴 Reminder for competitors to bring their qualifier cards for signing ✍️
Those who qualify on the day need to get a card from the office and have it signed from either the judge or secretary.

🐴 The weather for tomorrow is varying between reports and we currently don’t know what to expect from the forecast.
Please wear appropriate clothing in case of wet weather, usual show gear will still be required during your classes.
Ensure you listen out for the tannoy for updates and announcements throughout the day.

A gentle reminder in the run up to tomorrow’s show that all competitors and spectators are strictly expected to follow DDRC rules at all times whilst on the showground.

Following a small number of incidents at our previous shows, we remind those attending of appropriate show etiquette and to:

🐴 Please be polite and respectful to all show volunteers and other competitors/spectators.

🐴 Be aware of your surroundings at all times and ensure you are mindful of other individual’s and equine’s personal spaces, this is particularly crucial around the ring gates and in the show rings.

🐴 Do not crowd the ring gate areas and ensure you maintain enough space between yourself and others when waiting or spectating outside a ring.

🐴 Please ensure young children are supervised at all times when on the showground, particularly around the ring gates and when in control of a horse/pony.

🐴 Horses must not be in the queue or immediate vicinity of the secretary office window, this includes both mounted and in hand. DO NOT let your horse underneath the office window awnings.

🐴 You must not canter on the showground outside of a ring or warm up arena.

🐴 All persons must be wearing a correctly fitting helmet and appropriate footwear if mounted on an equine anywhere at any time on the show or parking fields.

🐴 Well behaved dogs are welcome on show day, please keep them under control and on a lead at all times, and ensure they are cleaned up after.

🐴 Ensure you use the waste bins provided across the showgrounds, please do not leave any litter on the floor to be cleared up by others.

This Sunday’s 8TH September DDRC show is fast approaching!🏆

We are seeking volunteers to assist us with set-up on SATURDAY 7TH at the showground and dismantling* post-show SUNDAY 8TH.
Any time able to be spared by volunteers is much appreciated!

Tasks include some manual handling, including unloading/loading jump trailers, preparing the grounds, and setting up/taking down jumps.

We are offering a FREE CLASS ENTRY🐴 or LUNCH ON US 🍔🌭 at Sunday’s show as a gratitude to all who can help 🤗
