To all our lovely owners, training greyhounds is to say the least a very hard job, especially the very long hours that we all put in. We leave the house at 6-00 am, and if we are lucky will get home around 4.00. If we are racing it could be 10-30.
Why do we do these long hours it’s because we love the dogs.
If you run any business once you close the door that’s it till the next morning. But sadly not in our job, if it’s not texting, and it’s Maria who gets these, or on Facebook, we seem to be getting more, and more complaints, may I add it’s not about us but about the racing office. We completely understand that owners are annoyed that their dogs are not running enough, when a dog runs it earns my wages, so believe me I want as many runners as possible.
So please if you have complaints, and we do understand that you are entitled to moan please ring the racing office, and talk to them. Will you get any joy probably not but let them know how you feel about the state of affairs.
I consistently raise polnts via phone or email about the lack of runs some dogs are getting , we all know it’s lack of wide runners but on occasions some dogs are forgotten, which in this day of computers shouldn’t happen.
Sorry to go on but it would be nice to go home, and forget about work.
