It’s not often I finish the yard early enough to enjoy the best part of the day with a glass in hand! It’s usually running about with a tin in hand 😆 It’s easy to forget we live in such a beautiful area so close to the South Downs with amazing views like this ☺️

So despite the usual chaos of children and animals today plus a visit from the vet I did manage to get a few minutes to sit down in the field and admire my new arrival. Aunty Fab also came over to give me a cuddle 🥰 still no name for my penultimate foal but we’re working on it!

All I wanted was half an hour to poo pick in peace! Della has followed me around the whole field then along come the ‘ferals’ to ruin my chances further 😩 this horse may as well come in the house she’s like another child bless her 🙄😂

Well I know it’s not quite the same as our eventing team but we also won a gold today 😆 🏅A different outing today at Aster Horses for the British Breeding Futurity evaluations with UCS Grand Deluxe, who was incredibly well behaved and received a Gold rosette 🏵️ We had some really lovely comments from judges and spectators which is always nice to hear 😊 hoping to upload some pics from the photographer soon. Wow what an amazing first Royal Welsh Show for us! UCS Grand Deluxe was absolutely on form today! Pulled in 3rd in a strong yearling sport horse class out of 9 then we literally trotted straight into the chaps yearling class as they were waiting and she was initially 4th then pulled in for another 3rd!

Over the moon with her today she was so much calmer and relaxed, makes it so much nicer to show them when they are calm. She then went into the main ring parade and was like a pro again!

Thanks Emily Grimshaw for filling mums shoes and being a top groom. Now for Pimms and some food!
