What does Fear Free mean for your cat?
Taking your cat to the vet can be a stressful event- for both the pet and owner. By having a seperate cat and dog waiting area we reduce the contact that our feline friends have with dogs. We also use pheromone therapy in the cat waiting area and provide towels to put over baskets to increase their feelings of safety. Once in the consult room, we endeavour to make the examination as stress free as possible. Pictured is lovely Boris who saw Fear Free Practioner RVN Jo for his health check. Boris loved playing with his cat nip toy and didn't mind Jo examining him at all. However, for cats that just find the whole process of visting the vet too stressful we offer discount home visit services where the vet can visit you at home for just an extra £60. 🐾❤️Today we were joined by our friends at @andersonmooresvetspecialists who kindly gave all our vets, nurses and animal care assistants a refresher on pet CPR using a specialist CPR simulation model that we nicknamed Karl. It’s so important, that should a pet suffer a cardiac arrest we are ready to act. Luckily, this isn’t a skill we need to use too often but we must practice regularly. 🐾❤️
