We are beyond devastated to announce the passing of our lovely Bob last week. He had recently been retired from rda work but had unfortunately developed an injury to his foot that developed an infection for which we couldn’t heal despite our best efforts.

Bob had been with us for over 9 years and has helped so many people in those years. He wasn’t so keen on being in the school so would generally be found taking riders out and about on our lovely rides around the estate. His wonderfully cheeky personality shone through to everyone who handled him or rode him as he was never one to pass up a snack on a bush even while doing his Rda work! He absolutely adored his afternoon hacking with our non disabled riders and was always the lead horse and woe betide any horse that tried to over take him when trotting!

Bob you will forever be in our hearts and you leave a big hole in the yard that we will struggle to fill but we are so grateful for all your hard work and the lives that you changed. Run free our boy 🌈💔

Over the last week we’ve held 2 very successful Volunteer training sessions where our volunteers have had the chance to complete the Mounting & Dismounting module and the Preparing & Assisting module.

Both sessions were very informative, practical based and enjoyed by all, even if we did have to hide from the thunder storms on Wednesday 🌩️

We will be doing more of these sessions in December time so volunteers keep an eye on your emails!

Thank you to everyone that showed interest in rehoming Pluto we are delighted to announce that we have found the most wonderful loan home for him and he will be leaving us in a few weeks time. We are beyond grateful to Pluto for all the hard work and dedication he has shown over his 6 years of service to us. He has taken on the role of looking after very disabled riders and also stepped up and taught some to jump and canter even if that brought out his cheeky side! We will miss him but are so grateful that he can now go and enjoy his retirement with lots of love and the occasional mooch of a hack.

Due to the retirement of two of our special ponies we are looking for new homes for them to enjoy some light hacking and lots of love.
Bob is a 15.2hh 21 year old gelding and Pluto is a 14.1hh 19 year old gelding. They are forward going but safe rides however both of these horses are older gentlemen and so come with a few health/weight issues that will need some management. They have been cleared by our vet to enjoy some light hacking and lots of love. We would prefer for them to stay local in the South Oxfordshire/ Berkshire border and homes will be vetted so serious enquiries only please.
