Can you spot the flying change? Having been a show jumper, Chuck learnt auto changes whenever we changed direction🔄. Now in his dressage days, actually getting him to do it on cue, on my aid and NOT change when he thinks he needs to has been a real challenge - a good solid counter canter pending...😅

I can always feel it when I’ve been a bit slack with his work - with vet checks/X-rays/physio appointments, we haven’t been doing as much and by god does it show in just a week or two!
Thank god for Cara whipping me into some sort of shape. This pure dressage stuff is harrrrddddd. I find it easy to just trit trot around the outside looking pretty and working correctly, but when it gets a bit hard for him (and me) I just give him a pat and tell him he’s so clever. He is a bit too big for me but with the right direction we work well together 🤗🤗🤗

The moment of retirement in the Medium today 😂😂😂 I did almost cry but watching back it’s pretty funny. Plus we finished the advanced medium with just under 62% with a few bucks and mishaps so not great not terrible!!! Onwards and upwards - full report to come 😁

Chuck Training ✨🥰
Chuck was mega the other week in our training session with Cara Hayward, Centre Line Coaching. Here we are working on travers across the diagonal to help with our half passes in trot and canter.
The poles Cara set out were to get me to be stricter with riding into the corners which gives more room to leave the track in the correct place and not be ‘sloppy’😂 at the start of a movement!
Why am I so amazed that a non-horsey person can put on a head collar so well???
Anyone else’s non-horsey bfs/parters love to get involved? My one likes to put hoof oil on the most 😂😂😂😂 good boy chuck until he plays the trick of lead-lope chewing!
