We're introducing a new pet abduction offence to crack down on this awful crime.

The new offence acknowledges that animals are far more than just property and will give police an additional tool to bring these sickening individuals to justice.

Pop-in visits to feed/check/let out/provide company or any other needs are £9 for 30mins or £14 for the hour.
Dog walks are £15 for an hour or £20 for two or more dogs from the same household.

As some of you may know, there’s a sharp increase in the number of kennel cough cases in Herefordshire.

Kennel cough is like a human cold and the vast majority of cases doesn’t require treatment, however it is very contagious to other dogs.

If you are in any of our classes at the moment and suspect your dog is showing signs of kennel cough, please contact your vet and please let us know as soon as possible

FAQ: How do my dog walks work?

Firstly, I will come for a meet and greet, to meet both you and your dog, where we can discuss exactly what you need.

For solo walks, I will come and pick the dog(s) up from your home and take them for an hour's walk. If you prefer, you can pick the route.

If your dog enjoys free time off lead, I am happy to do so in an enclosed space once I know the dog well enough.

Walks are £15 for an hour, or £20 for two or more dogs from the same household, and for an extra £3 I can incorporate practise of basic obedience commands, such as recall or sit/stay etc.

I have never and will never use any form of aversive on any dog. Flat collars or harnesses only. Treats and positive reinforcement for good behaviour only.

Please remember it is way too hot to be walking your dogs today! It might seem like common sense but I have spotted people out running with their dog at 9am yesterday - it was way too hot even then! You may be fine in your shorts and crop top, but they're wearing a fur coat and can't choose when to stop.

Some tips for keeping dogs safe:
- Keep to very early/late times, such as 7am or 9pm, before the temperature rises.
- Always make sure they have full access to plenty of fresh, clean water
- Keep them indoors during the hottest parts of the day, and make sure there is lots of shade and water if they're outside when it is cooler
- Offer cooling treats such as frozen kongs
- Paddling pools are great fun for you and your dog! You can also get cooling mats for dogs to lie on
- If the pavement is too hot to hold the back of your hand on it for at least 10 seconds, it will be too hot for your dogs feet, so avoid walking on it

Remember: dogs die in minutes in this heat, but no dog has ever died from missing a walk!

FAQ: What does a pop-in visit entail?

I offer pop-in sessions to suit you and your pet's individual needs. These suit cats and small pets when you are going away on that much-needed break, or dogs when you are out for the day, and can include:
- Letting out for toilet breaks
- Fusses/cuddles
- A play session
- Enrichment, e.g. scatter feeding with treats to get a dog using their nose and brain, or for an extra £3, practising their trick/obedience training
- Feeding/watering
- Giving any medications needed
- Cleaning out
- And anything else your pet may need!

Pop-in session are available at £9 for 30mins or £14 for an hour.

So excited to not only have achieved a high first class in BSc(Hons), but also receive an email telling me I have been added to a list of inspirational alumni 😁
It has been 3 years of hard work, hundreds (literally) of research articles read and highlighted and dissected, countless late nights and hours of revision, but it absolutely paid off! I'm eternally grateful to the lecturers who have taught me not only about how animals behave and how to provide them the best welfare possible, but also how to really read scientific articles on the robustness of the methods and statistics.
On to the Master's to learn even more 📚📚📚

It's very hot today, remember in this weather to only walk your dogs early morning and late evening! As an alternative to a walk, I offer pop-in home visits to give your friends a toilet break, some company and garden time while you are out for the day at £9 for 30mins, £14 for an hour 😊

When it is time to walk, you can test the temperature of the pavement by holding the back of your hand on the tarmac for 5-10 seconds. Too hot for your hand? Too hot for your dog!
