Meet the current horses🐴

Annie is a 7yo ISH mare.
She is 16 weeks post Kissing Spine op.
Dorsal Spinal Processes T16-18 were affected and operated on using the Coomer technique.
Minimal Juvenile Osteoarthritis was also present bilaterally in the Tarsus joints.

Annie presented with reluctance to go forward under saddle, evasion of the contact and a bunny hoping gait in the canter.

Since her operation, Annie’s followed an extensive rehab plan and is slowly returning to ridden work with improvements.

An early ride out on the hills this morning.
Both of these grey boys have been with me over summer, one for rehab and the other for schooling to iron out some insecurities.
Today their owner came and had her first sit on since winter. She was thrilled with the progress 🥰

Prior to qualifying as a Veterinary Physiotherapist, I had worked within many areas of the equestrian industry; Stud Farm, Hunt Kennels, a Riding School, as well as working for multiple top Event riders.

Alongside this, I breed, break and compete some of my own horses.

I am lucky to have had such a wide range of experience that I can filter into my work. I have a deeper understanding of the demands each discipline puts on the horse and can relate first hand to riders and owners.

Chill Out Rehab was inspired by my late mare Chilly who I lost in June this year.

Chilly was my ‘special’ horse, the one you just click with. She has an extensive story but it has taught me so much about exercise and rehab and allowed me to help many other horses along the way.

One or two physiotherapy treatments is not always enough which is why I am able offer bespoke rehabilitation and exercise services to give your horse longevity in it’s career 🩶
