Hello everyone, as most of you know by now, I will be closing Hot Dogs in the next month. I am fully booked until my closing date. However, if you would like to book a Christmas appointment in the week commencing 9th December, please book now. There are very limited spaces as I'm only opening for 5 days. I would prefer to book now so that I don't need to juggle business admin and uni work all at once. Pop me a message if you'd like to secure your spot. 🐾

🐾 Hello everyone, I have some big news. 🐾

💔 Hot Dogs is closing this September. 💔

💜 I will hopefully still be able to provide dog grooming during the term time holidays. 💜

💚 Business as usual until September 💚

💝 I am moving away to study this September 2024. This is an exciting endeavour for me, but with it comes great sadness closing my salon doors after eight years of grooming. Some of you have been visiting me for many years now and I will miss you dearly. 💝

🐶 Over the next three months remaining before my departure, I will cherish being greeted with waggy tails and wet noses each morning. 🐶

💙 I do plan to be available for dog grooming sessions over the term time holidays, particularly Christmas and summer. 💙

Hello everyone,

Due to the rise in living costs and for me to align with other grooming services in Hereford, I am having a price and policy update which will commence on the 11th May 2022. This will mean that I am able to continue providing the best care for each of your precious dogs.

Hot Dog Grooming offers one-to-one care, which means that I need to work on a punctual schedule. Its important that you arrive for your appointment on time. If you are late for your appointment, your dog's session will likely have to be rescheduled. Animal welfare is my utmost priority, so an appropriate amount of time for their groom is essential to avoid possible stress or injury.

Likewise, it's important you are prompt in collecting your dog at the alloted time, as this allows me to clean and prepare the salon for my next client.

I am happy to reschedule appointments, as long as I am given a reasonable amount of notice, so that I am able to fill the space. Cancellations of appointments are free of charge, up until 24 hours of the scheduled session.

A fee equivalent to the cost of your appointment will occur if:
- you cancel your appointment within 24 hours of the scheduled date.
- you don't show up to your appointment.
- you arrive too late to your appointment for me to proceed.

Attached below is a price guide to let you know what to expect. I have organised breeds into categories. Please bare in mind that additional costs may occur if your dog's coat is in poor condition, they are particularly over due their groom or if they need extra time in their session due to behavior. These factors play a large part in how long a session will take and the amount of wear my equipment gets.
I can give you a quote for your dog's grooming session, but please be aware that in some cases, the cost may increase during the groom due to your dog's behaviour or coat condition (added costs may be between £5 - £10), but this is fairly rare.

Little miss Shelby had her very first groom with me yesterday. 😊 She was quite worried about the grooming process so we took baby steps to help her get used to things in a positive way. 💕 She was a super star, as you can see in this video, she was coming up for a cuddle under the dryer which she had initially found really frightening! 🎉🐶

Here's Maddie getting used to the bath! 😊 It's always worth taking these extra steps to allow the dogs to see for themselves there's nothing to fear, rather than forcing any part of the groom. 💖 This was only Maddie's second visit to me, so the salon is still new to her. 🐾 She did really well and with gentle encouragement she hopped in the bath and stood beautifully for her wash. 💧 These memories will help to boost her confidence every times she comes to see me. 👍

Little Magpie having a cuddle under the dryer 🥰 Every dog is different and so I always adapt different methods to each client. 🐕 Magpie doesn't like to be dried on the table but he's happy to be dried in my arms. 💖 It's lucky he's a Chihuahua and not a Great Dane 😄
