Terms and Conditions for Agility and obedience

Awesome Paws Performance follow a code of ethics and will only tolerate positive training approaches. Therefore, we do not accept check chains, pinch, prong, electric or compressed air collars, rattle cans, water sprays or any other aversive devices. Shouting and smacking will also not be tolerated. Any handlers demonstrating Harsh aversive methods of training will be asked to leave the training ground. All you need to bring is a standard lead or training lead, plus a collar that is as wide and comfortable as possible or a harness, and a variety of training treats and toys. For younger dogs please also bring a food filled kong or suitable chew. Dogs unfit for training:

Welfare and safety of all dogs is paramount to us. Dogs in an unfit state of health due to illness, disease or injury cannot be brought to class. Do not bring your dog to class if they have been in contact with an infectious disease, such as kennel cough. If you unsure as to whether your dog is well enough to attend, please refer to your Vet and contact us as soon as possible. If your dog is unable to attend you are encouraged to attend the class without your dog so you can maintain continuity of training. If Bi***es come into season, please contact us directly for guidance. Vaccinations

Dogs should be adequately protected by vaccination as advised by your vet and verification may be requested. Puppies can attend our classes from one week after their first vaccination has been administered by a Vet. For all puppies’ wellbeing verification of vaccination status must be provided. Failure to provide confirmation will result in puppies not being able to participate in a class. All adult dogs must be fully vaccinated, and verification of vaccination status must be provided also. You must not knowingly book an aggressive, or highly reactive dog into any classes. If in doubt, please make arrangement for us to assess your dog before booking onto a course. This can be done at our training ground. If you have not asked us to assess your dog and then find that your dog is highly reactive, nervous, or aggressive we may not refund your course payment. If we believe your dog is not suitable for a class environment we will offer you alternative ways to train on a one to one basis. We limit the number of dogs within class to maintain a suitable trainer to dog ratio. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. NO EXTENDABLE LEADS PLEASE. Unless one of our instructors advises to remove to participate in an activity. Please do not allow your puppy/dog to interact with other dogs within the class unless instructed to do so by one of our instructors. Parking

On arrival please reverse park into a suitable space as instructed on booking. Obedience and agility parking is clearly marked. Please wait in your car until previous classes or one to one sessions have finished. Parking is at owner’s risk. Awesome Paws Performance cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage. Considerations:

When arriving at class please avoid meeting the other dogs on lead. Not all dogs like to be near other dogs when restrained on lead and may react as a consequence. Do not crowd gateways and allow plenty of room for a dog to enter and exit the ground. Do not allow dogs to play together outside the venue before a class, as this can cause excitement and a lack of attention during the session. All dogs must be kept under the owner’s control and on a lead, except where specifically instructed by our instructors. You are responsible for the conduct of your dog at all times. Dogs in class must not lunge or bark at other dogs present. Please arrive in time for each class as latecomers can be disruptive to the other dogs in class. Dogs arriving late can experience stress if barked at by the other dogs. If arriving late, please wait outside the ground until the instructor lets you in at a suitable time. Please do not allow your dog to urinate on any equipment. Bins are provided so please clean up after your dog. Children in class:

We encourage family members to attend classes. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Children are encouraged to behave appropriately in the presence of unfamiliar dogs and are requested not to run in class, or distract other dogs from working. For safety reasons it is advisable all children are educated in how to approach an unfamiliar dog. Young children may not find training classes exciting. It can be challenging to supervise young children while training a dog. Very young children can become bored and may need another adult to supervise them. If you provide your children with entertainment during a class, please ensure it is quiet and will not distract the class. Payment and Refund policy

All classes and 1-1 sessions are nonrefundable and payable on your first session. If attending classes, payment for the full block is payable on the first week. As we have limited availability, once sessions and classes are fully booked, we lose further possibility of bookings. If you need to cancel please give us as much notice as possible. We state in our terms and conditions that dogs must not show aggression to people or dogs and we offer alternative arrangements for these dogs. We also suggest that dogs who bark a lot at people or dogs might not be appropriate candidates for a class environment. If it transpires that your dog might not be appropriate for classes, and it was obvious they would not have (i.e they are already showing these behaviours outside the ground), we may request that you do not attend and will not refund the course. If you knowingly book a reactive dog into class, you will have prevented someone else from booking the space and this could have an impact on the viability of running our classes. Insufficient numbers booked onto a course may result in the course being postponed or cancelled. In this instance you will be notified of future course dates or offered one to one sessions. Complaints procedure:

If you are unhappy with the service we offer you Please Contact us letting us know the nature of your complaint immediately. We would appreciate the opportunity to improve our service and will aim to ensure that our service meets your requirements.
