Rhydan equine is a small professional yard set in the Herefordshire border is owned and run by Gemma Lewis and David Molloy. Gemma Lewis an experienced event rider who has been involved with horses from a small age and regularly competes at affiliated levels for both eventing and dressage. David has spent a lot of time working with young / green horses. He spent his earlier career in Ireland worki

ng as whipper in at many hunt yards and has just finished the season with the Beaufort Hunt. The yard is set in the beautiful Herefordshire borders where the horses enjoy a good mix of flatwork and regular exercise on the hills. Its proved a winning formula for fitness programmes. Horses / ponies from across the board are welcome. All horses will be assessed and given a training programme to suit their needs. Owners are encouraged to be involved with their horses progress and are welcome to observe or attend training sessions. Schooling / Breaking

Massive congratulations to Zara and Kia, competing over the weekend at the Leinster dressage 2day festival in Ireland. With a 4th place on Saturday and 1st place today finishing 2nd overall, two beautiful tests to watch! Great achievement 👌🏼👌🏼 🤩🤩

OHH HE DID IT AGAIN!! 🤩🤩🤩🥳
Looney Les has another ROR Medium champion title under his belt!! What an absolute legend he is 💪🏼👌🏼🥰… He has made his owner George very happy 😊

Also a massive well done and thank you to Elaine Gore competing her boy in the prelim coming inside the top 10 out of a huge class. This was after she rescued us from the side of the road with a blow out 🫣.. Couldn’t have done it without you and can’t thank you enough!!

A fab few busy days competing at the nationals in Addington.
And what a few days we had!!!
Our own boy kilcorban cottage fire put his little heart in to his tests coming 7th in the PSG .. then went on to perform beautifully in the Inter 1 test for a very worthy 3rd place!!! 🤩🥳🥰…
Jonty owned by Patrick Blackburn a very worthy contender in the elementary warmed up beautifully but the occasion just got a little overwhelming in the test.

Our small yard in the welsh hills has done us sooooo proud again this weekend 💪🏼🥰 .. Both of these beautiful boys started their education and have been produced by ourselves here at Rhydan….
Competing at the petplan area festivals, with Paddy’s flight owned by Patrick Blackburn and ridden by David winning the Elementary silver and kilcorban cottage fire winning the Inter 1 silver class and second in the PSG. 🥳🎉🎉🎉

The amazing Les competing in the medium today, holding on to his cavago ROR gold title and coming second overall in his class. This boy always tries so hard for me!! 🤩..
He was welcomed home to carrots and kisses from the little man. 🥰🎉🌟

A busy few days competing at the Cavago Associated championships.
Friday was Davies turn with Jonty performing a lovely medium test coming second in his section. Then Boycie holding his nerves and coming home with a 4th in the elementary.
Today was Kia’s turn .. A little young horse that hasn’t seen a big busy occasion like this before, he pulled it all out the bag and won his section. 🎉🎉

It was the turn of the ROR’s today and what a cracking day we all had… 2 horses and 3 tests all finishing up on the podium!!!
Elaine on Greedy boy did a beautiful test coming 2nd in the championships, then Greedy boy went out and performed his second championship test nailing it with a win 🤩
To finish the day looney Les strutted his stuff and came 3rd in the medium 🥳🥰

Looney Les on Thursday and Barnaboy cinnamon at the winter petplan area festivals, les coming 9th and boycie coming 5th, in very big classes…we can stay in the top ten with two Irish bred horses not bad going!! 😊 Some really nice horses there such a good experience for our two…👌🏼thank you to the owners George and Sinead!!

One small TB was a little over excited about giving his first Medium test a go. 🥴 Thank goodness he calmed down enough to put in a lovely performance 👌🏼☺️

What a day !!! A long journey that didn’t quite go to plan with long delays, giving myself and Les very little time before our test. The ginger ninja stepped up to the mark though and won the ROR elementary championships. 🥇 This little horse has come such a long way and we are all so so proud of him. A huge thanks to George for being such a loyal owner.
