What a great way to spend some free time. 80% of our guests have been adopted from here and all the staff and volunteers do a fantastic job. A few of our guests' humans do a few hours a week and love it. we often get asked if we can take placement and volunteers and we recommend Hereford cat centre (formerly Cats Protection) as the first call

Elderly DHS Tabby found
Belmont Vets have had a stray cat since Sunday the 25th September and have had no luck locating its owners.
The cat was found in the Winnal area after wandering into the house of a member of the public. We wondered if yourselves or anyone in your area was possibly missing a cat? The cat is an elderly DSH tabby and is microchipped but sadly the details are not up to date.

UPDATE 9/3/22. Bella is back home safe.

Missing Cat - Belmont
Bella has been missing since 5 March. Bella has a pink Cheshire and Wain breakaway collar on with her name in silver, providing it hasn’t become loose. She has a tag with our contact details on and she is also microchipped (953010005460675).

She is very friendly and quite curious.

Can you help home a cat? We are appealing to our loyal customers and friends of Cats Whiskers. Please read Compo's back story below and contact us if you can help provide Compo with a loving home.
Details from the current "staff" below.

This is Compo. He was born sometime in early August 2015, probably on the farm next door. We found him as a tiny feisty undernourished kitten in our compost heap.

He gets on very well with our other cats, but will have nothing to do with our dogs. We are moving house to a smaller house where it will be impossible to give him his own space away from our dogs and we feel it would be better for him to have a new home. I think ideally he would be an only cat, so there is plenty of encouragement for him to become friendly with his new owner(s). He will need love and patience to learn to trust and may never want to have anything to do with visitors. On the odd occasion when for some reason our dogs have not been home, he has come and sat on my husbands lap and purred delightedly, so I am fairly sure he would do that more redily without dogs.

Compo is a very good mouser and would like to have access to open spaces or at least a nice large garden. His current home is in the middle of farmland and he roams freely, in summer often only showing up for his evening meal. He does like his basket much more in Winter.

I would be happy to speak with anyone who is seriously interested in giving Compo a home and have given Alex and Amanda my mobile. Please contact them first.
