Lovely sunny day for our first hoopers workshop of 2025.
Fabulous teams from youngest who coped beautiful in an new environment, clever pups.I am looking forward to watching these teams progress. Some really good teams to watch out for. Starter teams who made Novice skills and courses look easy and Novice teams who showed off their awesome skills and took on challenges with ease.

Our first Scentwork UK trial of 2025 and what a start to the year it was.

First thing 15 teams had a go at level 1 and all 15 teams qualified. Congratulations everyone. how impressive is that?
Thank you to Joyce Lewis for being such a brilliant co judge with me.

1st - Rachel & Gracie

In the afternoon we held a level 6.
6 teams took on the challenge and 3 qualified. Thank you Harry Latusek for judging and for putting us thought our paces, really enjoyed it.

We have two places available on our Foundation Skills class starting at 3.10pm on Tuesday 7th January in Pilning Village Hall.

This class is great for dogs aged from 5 months and up to any age.

We work on skills such as lead walking, recall, focus around distractions, not jumping up, play, stays and more.

Today was swapped wellies & wooly hats for Christmas jumpers and socks.

We enjoyed a fun afternoon at Pilgrim Hotel & Restaurant at our (now annual) After Christmas Lunch.

What a lovely way to end Christmas and start the new year. Thank you everyone for coming and making it such a fun afternoon.

Thank you Mary for organising the raffle and to everyones generosity, we raised £130 for Hereford & Worcester Animal Rescue, brilliant x

Luckily the adorable Bree was on reception if we needed a puppy fix ❤️

Thank you Pilgrim Hotel of having us. Food, service and crackers were just perfect 👌 x

2024 has been a blast.
We have had lots of new adventures, watched lots of fabulous teams achieve things they never thought they would be able too, welcome lots of new teams to The Doggie Den gang, have laughed probably far too much and shed a few tears for the precious pups, including one of our own we have lost this year x

Thank you everyone for all your ongoing support and for all the happy memories during 2024. We are looking forward to sharing 2025 with you all x

Little Gyp and I have been taking part in Llwynbedw Sheepdog trials. We have had a blast. Gyp has been a complete star. I love learning and working with my girl. We completed in 3 trials, South Wales and Novice Handler. We came home with a 1st, 3rd and 4th place in Novice Handle and a 6th place in South Wales. Overall we came 3rd in Novice Handler, what a clever girl x In tiny writing, we came 6th overall in the South Wales class (this class is placed to 5th so no rosette but no matter I am super pleased as this group with with some really experienced teams) Lots more exciting bit to do, Little Gyp 💜 x

Just before we start another busy weekend here at The Doggie Den I thought I would share this video from last weekend when we managed to steal a few hours away to play hoopers. I have been thinking of a few things to write on this post. One was that as an instructor how important it is to me that I am updating my skills and knowledge, yep that's true. Another was how very lucky I am to have this fabulous group of girls to learn from, for support and to share lots of happy, fun times with, Janet Rowbotham, Emma Gowler, Ali Cooke yep that's true too x Anyway what I decided to go with is. Little Gyp, you are just completely awesome 💜 x

I always love introducing new teams to scentwork and last weekend was no exception. This foundation group ranged from 14 week's to 10 years and they were all complete amazing. We are looking forward to seeing them all again next month x

Its was definitely a beautiful day, enjoying a bit of scentwork yesterday afternoon. Super work from these Fabulous teams, well done guys x
