Day 4 - Pony Club Camp - the finale!
Wow what an awesome week we have had with the best bunch of children. We’ve had so much fun. Rounding the week off with our tradition of mounted games, water games and of course the all important water fight which we all welcomed more than ever! A cheeky visit from Mr & Mrs Whippy Icecream Van where Zack was trying to get in on the action. Perfect last day 🥰

The grooming theme was ‘fun’! The horses all looked very…er…. Interesting! 😂 Quarter marks of all sorts are the ‘thing’ this pony camp too. The riding was obstacles out in the field. Then some great gymnastics routines in the end. Great day again but still battling this heat!

Jumping! Again got all the riding done before the full heat of the day with multiple wash downs for the horses but still very hot! Brilliant work from all again. More photos in the next post!

Day 1 of Pony Club Camp - Our theme is of course the Olympics. What a scorcher! We managed to get all riding done before the temperatures got too high, everyone did so well in their Dressage tests. We then had each group pick which ‘country’ they wanted to be, decorate their flag and then their ponies ready for our opening ceremony. What an awesome job they did!

Jimmy went off to his new home yesterday and what a home it is! With our lovely Jo - who takes our Sunday hacks he is living the life with a herd of cows and his new bestie Arran! No more schooling, just hacking. One happy Jimmy.❤️

Too hot last night so our early lessons had fun ba****ck rides on our shady lane with care sessions on colours and markings, our last lesson managed a stroll round the field finishing with work in the menage as the temps started to fall.

I’m running a dog show at my Village Fete tomorrow if anyone would like to bring their four-legged friend along! All fun classes with lots of laughs.

A big happy birthday to our amazing Buzz! He is absolutely a pony of a lifetime and we know he is loved by so many!

We are looking for a 15-15.3hh horse to join us as a working livery, with the most perfect owners you could ask for. No full cobs but cob crosses welcome. Must have the ability to know when they just need to do the minimum and keep someone safe, but also step up a gear and jump well. All our horses have a lovely varied work scheme with pole work, obstacles, jumping, flatwork, field riding and hacking, do not work in the school for longer than 1.25hrs a day and enjoy lots of different events, including Pony Club. They have lots of turnout all year round. Please do contact us if you have something suitable, we have so many people that know us and can recommend us. Pic for attention.

Cheese moved to my house to be with Carrie today to enjoy his retirement. Despite worrying they wouldn’t get on - they appear to be really happy with each other! Cheese has been more than amazing and I just wish there were more horses like him. 🥰

Wishing the amazing Zack a very happy birthday today! The first horse we bought to join the riding school when I first started at Petasfield and there were just three working ponies. I sold him to the lovely Libby and Caroline who spoil him rotten AND it meant he would stay on the yard as I hated parting with him. He’s part of the furniture at Petasfield and is now the horse that has been with us the longest.

We finally managed to get out on the fields and do some SJ XC this weekend. Super job from all ponies, horses and riders! The field is now open for hire or lessons if required. Please email to book - [email protected]

Formerly known as a horse, we think Cheese is trying to identify as a Yeti. 😂 For those that don’t know, due to injury, our lovely boy has had to fully retire. Crazy how fast the top line drops and the belly grows when they stop working. The biggest shame as he loved his work and was truly one of the best. Loved by so many! ❤️
