Looking for part time staff for general yard jobs, couple of hours a day Monday-Friday. 16+ must be experienced in yard work and work to a very high standard. Can work around school hours but jobs must be done by 3pm (winter) summer negotiable - would consider work in return for livery, but only for an extra special person!!

Responsibilities will include;
Mucking out
Poo💩 picking fields
Filling hay nets
Making Feeds
Changing rugs
Keeping the yard tidy
Depending on hours could also include other ad-hoc jobs around the yard

Must be reliable, not afraid of hard work (and rain 🌧) with high standards and a professional attitude.

A paid trial day will be part of the interview process

It’s been one of the toughest winters yet, so wet early on made it so hard. We are nearly at the end of Jan and the horses are still foraging away in the grass happy to be out mooching, for that I feel lucky 🍀, but roll on spring!! ###

I feel like I’ve seen all four seasons today, started off roasting hot doing the mucking out(dogs sunbathing), then freezing and a hail storm, now finishing off with sun and a lovely rainbow 🌈 xx

Mon - Fri, number of hours negotiable but you will be required to help assist bringing the horses between 3 and 4 in the winter (summer is more flexible).

Reminiscing from when I was a kid!! I’d spend weekends and school holidays at my local riding school, getting exciting for own a pony days and getting my favourite pony Barney as my own for one day! Pot noodles and biscuits from the local shop for lunch, sitting in the canteen with the other horse mad kids! Leading the tiny tots classes and dreading being asked to tack up the nowty mare that bites 😂! Wet, cold, blue feet at the end of the day that stung like hell when you get in the shower (that still happens today due to my terrible choice of footwear)!

Our very un-feral, feral cat Sheba loving lazy days and snuggles in the barn!! I’m sure she thinks she’s a dog - cutest yard cat ever 🥰🥰
