Look at this little dot that’s just come in, she’s around 8/9 weeks old very friendly but hissing at my cats. She will be available once she’s had her first vaccine and microchip. I’m thinking of either calling her Dottie or Norma Jean what do you think xx 😻🩷

💔😿🌈 very distressing and upsetting post💔😿🌈
Please don’t read if you are upset easily I am being graphic in some places.

At around 7.50pm last night I popped in to mama Lucy to see if she was having kittens. There was one born so far, so of course I got excited and went over to check. He was a boy, very tiny, extremely cold and gasping for breath/sounding like he had swallowed some of the fluid. I immediately called a vet , while placing him down my top to warm him up, who told me what to do to try release the fluid.
Meanwhile mama cat started with contractions and the second kitten was born, another boy, upsettingly with his intestines outside of his body, mama was doing everything she should, cleaning him up, washing him and eating everything that was outside of his little body.
By this time I felt it extremely necessary to take mama Lucy and the kittens to the vets as the second boy wasn’t going to make it.
As soon as we got to the vets she had baby number 3 another boy who thankfully was healthy and mama was doing an amazing job.
After checking both of the first two babies over the vet advised that they were both too poorly and we made the heartbreaking decision to put them to sleep. We named them Bert and Ernie as we can’t let them go over the rainbow bridge without a name.

The vet had a good feel of mama and could tell there was at least one other kitten inside but as mama was getting anxious being at the vets we thought she should come home and be more relaxed to give birth again.
Around an hour later she gave birth to her fourth baby another boy. He is a big healthy boy with a good appetite once he latched on.

Mama Lucy and her two remaining baby boys are doing absolutely amazingly. She is only young but her maternal instincts have done her proud.

I’m not sure it’s the right thing to post a photo of Bert and Ernie as it might be too upsetting for people but I have some lovely photos of mama Lucy with Elmo and Oscar (the grouch).

This my wonderful friends is the true reality of rescue, of picking up the pieces because irresponsible owners don’t get their cats neutered. The vet says this is likely to have happened due to in-breading.
The moral of this story is please I’m begging you get your cats neutered, ask rescues, rspca, cats protection for help to trap neuter and return feral cats in your neighbourhood. All of this can be minimised by people intervening to try and do their part to help.

Anyway enough lecturing here are photos of mama Lucy with Elmo (more black) and Oscar (more white).

RIP beautiful babies Bert and Ernie ###

Look at these fantastic four kitty cats Felix, Roxy, mikey and magic they’re of the older generation. Three are 14 and one is 10. They are very loving but are still quite nervous. If you are looking to love an older cat they are the guys for you. The boys are a pair and the girls are a pair. Just let us know if you are interested in giving them love and snuggles xx 😻🐈‍⬛🩷

It’s not even kitten season yet but here we are with our second pregnant cat already. Meet Lucy she’s just come into the rescue, no microchip she’s been living on the street. I was completely wrong on guessing the number of babies Izzy was carrying as I said 6 but she only had 4, so I’m going to say 5 for Lucy. I’ll try and get better photos once she has settled xx 😻🐈‍⬛🩷
