Today marks 7 years since we bought our little shop.
We've got through brexit, a pandemic and working through a cost of living crisis.
We've had lots of ups and downs.
I'm so proud of what we've done so far and look forward to many many more years in our little shop.

Could you support Guide Dogs?

You may see more trainee guide dogs in Hessle in the months to come as one of the local trainers will be working their dogs in the area!

However, to support them in their guide dog training, he is looking for a small pool of volunteer Fosterers to provide a temporary loving home for the dogs. Can you help?

As a Fosterer, you will care for a training dog for roughly 3-4 weeks at a time, with the trainer in Hessle picking up and dropping off the dog directly to your home! The guide dog trainer will likely take the dog out for 2-3 hours in the morning and/or afternoon, if you can be flexible and someone is home that would be ideal. Trainee guide dogs have busy training session when out and about, so they need somewhere to wind down and a chance to enjoy off lead exercise at weekends.

Guide dog staff are on hand to answer any questions and full support and training will be provided. You'll have a companion and future life changer in your home, with all costs covered by Guide Dogs, so why not get involved and make a difference to service users in Hull and East Yorkshire!
