Please share with us our huge congratulations to senior nurse Leanne for finding out last week that she had passed her medicine certificate after 3 hard years studying!

Sanderson Vet supports their nurses in their clinical development and encourages additional qualifications to help them grow and to look after your pets in the best way possible.

If you have an emergency you may see Leanne for your initial triage so it’s nice to know you’re in the very best hands!

*A busy night already here at Sanderson Vet. Thanks to VidiVet we can prioritise seeing only those patients who need urgent vet care quickly! Whilst reassuring those that can wait until opening hours to save money and late night visits!

Out-of-hours care is always more than treatment during the day, but we work hard to keep our consult fee’s as low as possible.

A client’s mum today told us we were 67% less than they had paid elsewhere with their pet, and that we avoided the long drive they had to take!

We can keep our prices low, whilst keeping our standards high, by been a single-site independent vets.

Better still - you can see your own vet who has full access to the records in a familiar environment! We will never outsource our out-of-hours care as we just believe it is important to be there for those that trust us 24-7!

* Dog Friendly Clinic *

As well as been a International Society of Feline Medicine Gold Cat Friendly Clinic and a Silver Accredited Rabbit Clinic we are also now an officially recognised ‘Dog Friendly Clinic’ by the Dogs Trust and the British Veterinary Behaviour Association!

They commented on how it looks that we have ‘fantastic facilities for dogs’.

Well done to the whole team, it’s great to know we really are pushing the boundaries of excellence and quality of care every day at Sanderson Vet!

A great day yesterday at Santa Paws!

Here at Sanderson Vet we like to spend time developing the future of the vet world. Logan attended the same school as Richard, the renowned Thomas Telford School, and the whole team were delighted to welcome him to the practice.

After a day at the annual The Kennel Club UK update for vets like Richard who are an Respiratory Function Grading (RFG) Scheme Assessor (Logan was the first ever vet student attendee), he had a week in the clinic learning from our great team of nurses and vets.

Logan will hopefully become a familiar face with us and is doing Harper and Keele Veterinary School proud! Keep up the good work!

Our team are having their Christmas meal tonight. Thanks to our neighbours WirralPet999 for kindly helping us out by covering our phones tonight alongside their own so our whole team can get together.

You don’t need to do anything different - just ring the normal number and follow the usual instructions. For routine enquiries please also remember to use VidiVet, which we provide free-of-charge for our registered clients meaning you can get free advice from a vet.

This award means, and acknowledges, we meet the highest standard possible for the care and treatment of cats. It means several things;

✴We understand it is stressful when you have to bring your cat to see us. This is why we are proud to have been accredited as an ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic.

✴The ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic accreditation is an internationally-recognised award. It means that we have met criteria to help minimise stress to your cat in our clinic.

✴Stress has a major impact on cat welfare. We try hard to minimise as many causes of stress as possible for our feline friends when they visit the practice.

✴As all our cat owners know, cats are not small dogs and they have very specific needs. Out gold status should reassure our clients that all our team understand cats and their requirements.

✴Staying in the clinic, away from home, can be very stressful for cats. We do as much as we can to make cats comfortable and stress-free. Our cat patients are hospitalised in a separate, calm, quiet ward away from the dogs as part of our ISFM Cat Friendly status.

✴When you visit our clinic, don’t be surprised when we ask you to sit in the designated cat area of our waiting room. As an ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic we have separate dog and cat waiting areas to help reduce your cat’s stress.

✴All of our team love our feline friends and are happy to help you, but we also have a specially designated Cat Advocate Madie who has made cat care their priority.

✴When you have to travel with your cat, we recommend using FELIWAY Classic spray in your cat’s carrier, 30 minutes before travelling. This can help to keep your cat calm - for more information, please contact us.
