These girls are now ready to look for their forever homes

Some of them have partial vision and rely on the other rats to help them, 2 of the girls were born in another rescue and have been in rescue their whole lives, they are a little skittish but have never bitten, the youngest in the group is 6 months old, and the oldest is 3 years old

They are all very happy rats who love to play with their toys & are always cuddled up together for nap time, they love to dig, their favourite thing is definitely their dig box

They all have curious natures and they’ll sit and watch what you are doing, they love to be out and running around their play room

URGENT - PTS DATE ISSUED -15th August

Adoptive home needed

Layla is around 4 years old, she is a bully x (not an XL bully) and is currently in police kennels, she is vaccinated, flea & wormed

She was found chained up after being used for breeding, next to her dead puppies

She’s a very sweet and gentle girl & loves to play with her toys but would be a great couch potato

She has been badly bred and has severe hip displasisa but is still a every happy and loving dog, and it doesn’t stop her from doing her daily activities

She is dog reactive so needs to be an only pet, she could live in a family home with children aged 14+

She’s had a horrendous life so far, and now has a death date set without being able to enjoy a happy life, she only has 11 days to find a loving home

She is not with us but we have been asked to help find her somewhere safe, currently in Luton Police kennels

Foster Placement Needed until 21st August

This lovely boy is still looking for a temporary foster home

He is a 1.5 years old, mastiff mix, up to date with flea, wormer, and vaccinations & he is neutered

He’s such a friendly dog, all he wants to do is to play then have a nice long cuddle and nap, he loves playing with toys and especially with footballs

He knows basic commands like sit, paw, down, flat etc and is crate trained

He loves to sleep on the bed but will sleep in his crate if needed, he can pull a bit when he wants to play with another dog so wears a halti in dog busy areas but when it’s quiet he just uses his harness and will walk next to you

He will be provided with everything that he needs during his stay, crate, food, treats, chews, toys, beds, harness, leads, head collars, and lots more as he is a very spoilt dog

He is great with children and has always been around them, he is so gentle when they play with him or walk him, however may be better suited to somewhere with older children due to his size and his love for sitting on your knee and overall slight lack of spacial awareness

He’s still young so is still learning everyday, overall he is such a good boy, when he’s with us we have absolutely no complaints about him

he loves to play with other dogs, his best playtime friend is a little 14 week old cockapoo puppy and he is so gentle with him, but would absolutely love to have a mad half hour with a bigger dog that will play with him

It can take him a couple days to settle but he is such an amazing dog

We are available for daily walking, drop ins and training if needed and can sometimes do day care if the foster placement is local to us

We are ideally needing somewhere for him as soon as possible, and hopefully a safe place for a couple months, but any length of time would be a great help at the moment, in particular we are looking urgently for somewhere from 15th August- 19th August as we are extremely busy for them days

Kikashi is currently our longest hamster resident here, next month it will be 1 year since she first arrived

She’s a wonderful little hamster, such a big personality and always makes you smile, she loves to make burrows and is always digging around, she also loves trying new sprays and forage mixes

Claude & Klaus

These lovely boys (we think dad & son) were found left in a box on a grass verge, they weren’t in best condition, Claude had a lot of dandruff and dead skin on him to the point that his fur has been unable to grow underneath, so he’s a bit patchy at the moment but his fur is starting to grow back

They have amazing personalities and are always cuddly with each other, they love jumping up onto the table and looking out the window

Both are vaccinated, Claude is neutered and Klaus is due neuter once old enough

Lexi
4 year old, female, spayed

Lexi loves to walk along the beach and going to dog parks, she is okay with other dogs but can be a little cautious at first, she has really good basic training however is not fully toilet trained and has had a couple accidents in the house

She is good in the bath and loved being brushed, and she also loves having naps on the bed

She can get a bit excited and can nip when she’s overly excited but she isn’t aggressive

23 Corn snakes looking for forever homes, amazing personalities, all are fine being handled except for one, all really lovely morphs and patterns

All eating well, and have no known health issues, some could put on a little weight but there are no health concerns

Sasha
7 year old, Siberian Husky, Female

Sasha is such a good girl, she walks well on lead, gets on with dogs & people really well, and is such a calm & laidback dog

She’s been great in shops, cafes/pubs and out in busy areas

She could live with other dogs and seems to really enjoy the company, she does chase cats so looking for somewhere with no small animals

Ideally looking for a home with husky experience, she’s very calm for a husky, she does like to have little conversations with you but doesn’t seem to bark or howl much

She knows basic commands but could use more recall training while she’s off lead

Found ferret - Hexham, NE46 3RZ

This little girl was found at Hexham golf club, we believe that she was born in the wild due to the amount of ticks that she had, but just posting in case she does have a family somewhere, or if someone has lost an older female ferret who may be the mum to this little girl x

He’s just a big bouncy puppy who loves to play and take naps, he absolutely loves to play with his ball and go chasing after it

He walks generally okay on lead but can pull sometimes especially if he wants to try and play with another dog, we are more than happy to aid with training, walking and some day care if needed

Ideally looking for a pet free home or somewhere with another dog that would put up with him playing, a large breed experienced home would be amazing

He is crate trained and knows basic commands

Will come with dishes, food, lead, harness, bed, crate, etc for during his stay

Cat microchipping

All cats must be microchipped by 10th June 2024, and going forward they must be microchipped before the age of 20weeks old, there is a fine up to £500 if your cat is not microchipped

Cats that are exempt include these listed below IF they have little to no human contact:
- Feral cats
- Farm cats
- Unowned or Community Cats

If you are unable to transport your cat to your vets, just get in contact and we would be more than happy to transport your pet to their appointment for you

Aurora
Californian King Snake

Aurora is an older girl, she has been in rehabilitation with us since February, she is now at a much better weight and has come a long way with being handled, and is now at the point where further handling could be continued with her forever home

She’s a good eater and has a very curious personality, she loves to watch everything going on around her, she can still get spooked sometimes but is so much better than when she first arrived, from what we’ve been told, she’s had quite a few homes in the past and we would love to find her forever home where she can truly settle and be loved for the rest of her life

Buster

Unfortunately buster’s owner has sadly passed away, leaving him looking for another forever home

He is a healthy boy, however has not been walked in a while so will needs some time to build up his strength again, he is okay with calmer children, he can be a bit excitable around them so a home with younger children may not be best for him

He loves being by the sea and going to the lakes, he loves to go for a swim too, very affectionate dog who has lots of love to give

George & Ophelia

Due to no fault of their own, unfortunately George and Ophelia are back with us to continue to look for their forever home

Both lovely rabbits, George was originally from a lovey family home & Ophelia was found (suspectedly abandoned) last year, they bonded instantly and have lived in our large group of rabbits in the past

George is around 5 years old, vaccinated & neutered, Ophelia is estimated around 6+ years old, vaccinated but unfortunately was assessed at being too high of risk for neutering

Gingy

Today is gingy’s 1st birthday, she was born in rescue shortly after her mum arrived, gingy has 6 siblings, rabbits have 2 uterus’s so can carry multiple litters at once so gingy has 2 brothers her age (happy birthday to fluffy & tiny too) and the rest are 5 weeks younger

Gingy has never had any serious applications, neither has her mum (thumper) or her younger sister (zinnia)

Gingy is a lovey girl, she’s very family oriented and loves to cuddle up on the bed with her family under the blankets, she also loves to go around and make the beds, making sure to push out all the creases so they look perfect

She is one of the sweetest bunnies and it’s been amazing to watch her learn and grow each day, happy birthday gingy xx

Update on the Humshaugh found cat

Now named Mitsy for her time here, she is a very loving cat, she is litter box trained and loves her cuddles, she loves to hop into the sofa and fall asleep on the cushions however most of the time she will just curl up on your lap

She has done well around other cats, she does hiss at dogs but lets them sit with her

She must have a home somewhere, thank you to everyone who has shared, hopefully her family is found soon xx

we have been working with a member of the public to help catch this beautiful cat, she has been around humshaugh area since December 2023
It’s taken about 2 weeks to catch her in our trap, she was very scared but once she was out she’s been fine with being held and cuddled, she is definitely not a ferrel cat and seems to have once had a family
She is very skinny and looks like she’s been caught in a snare trap within the past few months, overall she’s doing good and is receiving the treatment that she needs
