A Dog Walking Service with a personal touch. Walks are based in Heysham and the surrounding areas. Sessions will often be in groups of 6 or less.

Your dog will go on a variety of walks in different locations (depending on season) and travel there safely in our van with fitted cages. If your dog has recall issues or is anxious, please let us know prior as it may be something we can work on with them, with the use of a long-line and patience.

⚠️ Warm weather announcement!

Didn’t think we’d be needing to do one of these this year, with how cold it’s been. But as tomorrow is set to be mid 20s, we will be starting walks about an hour earlier than normal as to avoid the hottest part of the day. Some walks might need to be shorted too if dogs appear to be overheating.

Some signs for you to look out for tomorrow 🌞 🐾 remember, this weather has taken us by surprise, do our pups haven’t had time to adjust either. Making it more of a struggle!

‼️ Absence update

Hello kind & loyal customers,

I’m afraid I’ve come down with a chest infection and have started to feel worse as the day’s gone on. Antibiotics should help me recover but I believe taking the rest of the week off would be beneficial. Thank you all for understanding and I’m deeply sorry for the inconvenience. See you all next Tuesday (due to my booked time-off Monday).

⚠️ Walk times update

As this week commencing the 19th June, should be a little cooler, we are able to take all groups as usual Monday - Friday. However, we will start at 8am, as it is predicted to be warm/ humid in the afternoons. We want all dogs to be as comfortable as possible.

⚠️ Change to walks - weather warning

Hello everyone. As you can see, this next week is very hot for us to safely walk dogs as normal. This will be the availability as follows:

Monday 12th - 1 X 1hr walk. From 8am pickup.

Tuesday 13th - 2 x 1hr walks. From 8am pickup.

Wednesday 14th - 2 x 1hr walks. From 8am pickup.

Thursday 15th - OFF (Van MOT)

Friday 16th - 2 x 1hr walks. From 8am pickup.

❗️ If you need your dog letting out in the afternoon, please let us know and we will sort this. Dogs will be provided with cool mats, vests and access to water in the van also.

For the dogs who won’t be receiving walks (age, priorities etc.) they will be contacted directly.

Just a little reminder about our policy regarding invoices. It takes a while to draft them all and would kindly ask everyone to pay as soon as they are issued (unless an arrangement has been made prior).

Our policy is: until invoices are cleared, walks will be postponed/ resumed once sorted.

🚨 NEW DOG ALERT 🚨

We are so happy to introduce Zac to the Paws on the Bay family! He is a 4 year old Cocker Spaniel (Show) and we’ve fallen in love with him already! Don’t be fooled by his characteristically sad Show expression - he spends his walks trotting by my side and wagging his tail, who knows if it’s in pursuit of a treat or just because he’s a happy boy 😋

He’s already fit right in with all the pups he’s met, but with his laid-back, sweet personality we’re not surprised.

‼️ Update on injury

Hello everyone. Once again, we cannot thank you enough for your patience and understanding. Suzanne went for a trial walk with family dogs today, and I’m afraid her grip isn’t strong enough to resume walks the rest of the week. You never realise how important a thumb is until you almost lose it!

However, we are confident she will be able to resume majority of walks next week. If you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to message.

‼️ Customer update

Hello everyone,

As some of you may know, an accident occurred on Friday where Suzanne reached down to pick something up at the same time as a dog, and suffered a relatively serious bite to the thumb. I took her to hospital and it’s been wrapped up. There may be long-term damage such as numbness, but not enough to prevent walks in the future.

As she needs to refrain from applying pressure for a couple days, we hope everyone understands that Suzanne will be off until Wednesday.

After that, we will asses what’s best.

‼️ Customer update on walks

Hello everyone,

Can I once again thank our customers so much for your patience and kind wishes during this time. Suzanne is almost recovered, but not quite - backs are such a complex thing to injure. But, she does feel well enough to start walking again next week, however, this will be on a more selective basis.

- She can only take up to 4 dogs in a group temporarily.
- Only walking 2 groups a day, to give her time to recover in the evening.
- No pully/strong dogs will be walked temporarily. This is not forever I assure you.

⚠️ Customer update for walks this week - 21st November

Suzanne has been suffering over the weekend from a strain in her back. She still worked today, but it has now become a pain which cannot be ignored. As she suffered from a serious back injury a few years ago, we must be extra careful with pain like this otherwise we’ll run the risk of relapse (and she’d be off for a long time).

I’m afraid she will be on bed rest for the next couple days. We are hoping by Wednesday evening she’ll be stronger, but this may not be the case.

We will keep everyone updated on her progress.

Rydal Water Adventure!

🎶 Lovely Day, Bill Withers Safe to say, our first adventure day was a success! All the doggies loved the unfamiliar smells and scenes. Despite how busy it was, they all behaved themselves well, even when close to the sheep!😅 We promised a hike and delivered - we were determined to see that view. Apart from the lake, there was also plenty brooks to drink from and all were fully hydrated during our picnic stop, as they enjoyed a mix of frozen watermelon, carrots and a gift from Rufus, cheese nibbles. He was happy to share with all his friends! To end the day, we stopped at the amazing Kimi's and we all had the BEST gelato - doggies included. They were so generous and gave us baby cones, so all the pups could be included in our treat. Finally, we drove home to the symphony of snores coming from the crates 😂🥰 We look forward to the next adventure!🐾
