Dog of the week this week is....

🏆 Chestnut! Well done!

Chestnut is so full of beans and she doesn't have paws but springs! But she's the best natured dog and always so happy and gets on with all the other dogs on her twice weekly walks! Everything is done at 100 miles an hour and with enthusiasm but I'm very much used to this with Buster 24/7 that it's no bother for me!

She absolutely loves a treat (of course being a lab that's no surprise!) and she'll enjoy some treats next week!❤️

🏆Well done Paddy!

Paddy has been with me for 4 years now and has matured into a lovely dog! It takes a good while to get to know Paddy, he makes you work for his trust! But when he knows and trusts you he's lovely and steady! He enjoys being out with Percy and Diesel and any female! He's a calm member of the group, trusted and likes to plod along! He's not a kissy sort of dog but tolerates me kissing and hugging him! Love Paddy a lot and wouldn't change him for the world. He'll enjoy a treat next week!😋

We are so glad you're back with us, much missed! She's such a good girl, no trouble and walks well with all the dogs, she might be small but she's feisty and will hold her own against the bigger dogs! Boston 🏆 Well done to Boston!

Boston hasn't long been back with us after his big brother duties! And we love having him back! He's a lovely boy, our walks are very calm and usually next to the sea so it's a relaxing place to walk! He's mellowed so much and is absolutely no trouble! Always there to greet me by the door and always ready for a treat! When I see Boston in my diary I'm always really pleased, lots of my day is quite hyper and he provides some peace and quiet!

Nala 🏆 Well done to Nala! Also a second award for biggest ears! 🙊

Nala has been with me since her puppy days and has really matured into a lovely girl! She's a lovely example of a German Shepherd and I often get compliments for her when we are out! She's a steady and trustworthy dog, she gets on amazingly well with Buster and keeps him in order which is helpful for me! I love our 2 walks a week because I know they'll be no drama and plenty of affection from her! Treats next week for Nala!🥰

So this week we welcome Luna the cocker spaniel, just a baby at 1 year old! Absolutely full of beans and going to fit right in with the insanity that is most of my walks and dogs! Bryn has been the welcoming committee to settle her in and what a good boy he's been! 🥰

I absolutely love Bryn and his personality! Gets on with everybody, trusted and secretly very affectionate when he's got time to stop! A complete lovable rogue! He likes to panic me by disappearing out of sight but always returns when I call him! He's the only dog who sings in the van and he really is an ideal dog! See you soon Bryn with treats! 😊

Well done Ted! Ted is a good boy who can walk with any other dog, he's very tolerant of all the dogs! He's been with me years and never caused any trouble! He's a really good, steady and reliable dog. He's recently got a new little sister and I'm sure he likes the peace when he comes out without her and walks with other adult dogs! Obi! 🏆 Well done to Obi!

Obi is yet another who could win every week, never any bother with Obi! He's a real sensitive soul, and he's an absolute beauty! He can be teamed up with any other dog and will be absolute great, though he definitely prefers the company of the girls, mainly Roo and Maisie but he's always had a special friendship with Bryn! Lottie 🏆 Well done to Lottie!

Lottie is a total live wire but super friendly with all dogs she walks with - particularly Daphne! We've been working on calmly leaving the van instead of flying out and walking sensibly next to Daphne which has been achieved this week. The picture below with Daphne wouldn't have happened until recently, Lottie would be too excited to sit! She has a lovely character though and her excitement doesn't bother me at all, she livens up my mornings! I know her Mum will be pleased! Treats next week for my Lot Lot!☺️

So after the worlds longest week which involved me having to shift some walks around due to personal issues, then I couldn't get to some dogs due to such bad traffic in the area, then I've had issues with my van and I've had a bad cold all week and lost my voice completely yesterday! Thank goodness it's Friday!

Diesel 🏆 Well done to Diesel!

Diesel has been with me since the start! I think we are growing old together, both a bit creakier than 5 years ago! Diesel is a wonderful boy, the quiet leader of any group he's in, nobody bothers him and he'll always step in when things get rowdy! A peacekeeper! He has tolerated pups and I've never heard him grumble, even when he's being pestered and jumped on (mainly by Buster!) Everything is a little slower and he needs help getting in and out the van but once he's out he's certainly very active for an older fella! Treats next week for Diesel and look out for pictures of him in his famous jumpers soon!😊

About Rowan’s Dog Walking

I started Rowan’s Dog Walking in March 2018. There is a lot of competition in the local area and I’ve tried to offer a personal, caring service to dog owners. I don't collect large number of dogs in a van or take a large number out at the same time. I have many clients who's dogs cannot be walked with other dogs for various reasons. I have clients who let me know weekly what they require, often at very short notice and I pride myself on offering a flexible service.

I try to keep things interesting for the dogs by visiting different locations, some dogs can't be let off their leads and I accommodate for that. We are lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the country that a lovely walk is never far away. As I will only walk a maximum of 3 dogs together we don't spend a long time travelling about. I have comfortable transport with cages, towels and air con for the few warm days we are blessed with!

If you have a dog that would struggle to be walked with other dogs, or you have a dog that loves the company of other dogs and would enjoy a group walk please get in touch and I’ll be happy to meet you and your dog to discuss your personal requirements.
