❌ RAPESEED! ❌

It’s that time of year again when farmers' fields have blossomed into pretty yellow flowers. These plants are called rapeseed. Although it may be tempting to place your dog in the midst of taking a scenic photo, please avoid this at all costs!

Rapeseed is extremely poisonous for dogs, especially in highly sensitive canines.

Rapeseed is listed by Dogs Trust as toxic to our dogs if ingested and can cause symptoms such as:

❌Haemolytic Anaemia
❌ Blindness
❌ Damaged Nervous System
❌ Digestive Disorders
❌ Breathing Problems

Even walking through these fields should be avoided! In June 2019, a dog was reported to be suffering from severe open wounds after running through a crop of rapeseed.

Please seek immediate veterinary attention if your dog shows any signs of rapeseed poisoning!

That's a Wrap!!!!! 🎬

The final walk of the year is done. Boots are now hanging up ready to be used again for 2024.

Good evening all Bank Street followers!

We will be switching on our Coca-Cola truck this Wednesday 13th December. We aim to have the lights turned on at 6 pm. We will be serving Mulled Wine and Mince Pies to anyone who will be there for the switch-on. We are limited on refreshments so make sure you're there for 6 pm to avoid disappointment.

We will be raising money for our chosen charity Great Ormond Street Via our Just Giving Page. Details will be available by the gate and also in this post. We also have a red post box by our gate for any appreciation donations. We use these donations to go towards electricity to help keep things running. The lights will be on from the 13th - to the 2nd of January at the times below.

Going forwards:

Lights - Switched on at 5 pm and turned off at 11 pm

Snow Machine - No set time. This is powered manually so will only be on when one of us is around between the 13th and 24th. I can confirm that the snow will be on for the first switch-on (13th) and Christmas Eve 24th.

Music - 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm

Smoke - No set times. This is powered manually so will be only on when one of us is around.
