Handsome boy!! I always love seeing Dan and the lovely Alison Higgins. Every horse releases in different ways, Dan likes to chew his lead rope and he gets very itchy, which all leads to some great yawns.

I had an apprentice helping me with Diego this time round. He gets his yawns in early, in fact as soon as he sees me he’s yawning, (I’m not taking it personally) so we missed them in camera.
He has gone from not wanting his head touched, to offering it to me which had been a huge transformation over the last few months. My apprentice could feel the beautiful energy we were all giving off as we receive it from the horse as much as giving it. I love sharing the space with such wonderful beings both horse and human. We should all take time just to be, without stresses and strains of life. There’s no better place to be than in the aura of a calm, caring peaceful soul like Diego. 🙏🙏 Ellie Thomas thank you as always

It’s been a ‘journey’ for want of a better phrase.
I’ve always had itchy, warm hands that would turn on and off and never really knew what it was. I knew if I put my hands on you, I could make you feel better.
My reiki journey started in 2017 when I did my Reiki 1 course then reiki 2 a little while later. It was then I started practicing on Diaz and the responses I got were quite interesting.
This led on to the question , is horsey reiki a thing? Yes I found out, it is.
I’ve been lucky enough to do my animal/equine reiki courses in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside with Sarah & Vicky and their beautiful horses.
I managed to go my Reiki master teacher course a while ago but have waited to do the Equine one.
It’s always special to be able to share my gifts either people and see and hear how much better they feel, but horses and animals are very different. To have been able to do my Equine Reiki master attunement means the world to me. I love what I can bring to them and see what happens once they let me in.
I’m grateful to everyone who has let me loose on their cherished steeds and to Diaz , my first, willing client, you taught me SO much! Trust me, if she didn’t want to participate, she wouldn’t!
And thank you to everyone for believing in my abilities 🙏🙏🙏 gush over, get back to work everyone 😂

Morning everyone! You know the best way of building a business and reputation is through word of mouth. So I’m asking anyone who’s ever had a reiki session with me to leave me a review. I’d love to spread the word that reiki is a thing and not only that it’s an incredible thing for owners and animals alike.
From calming anxiety, healing past traumas, creating harmony within the body to creating a strong connection between animal and guardian, reiki helps every aspect of life. It’s beneficial for everyone and everything and is a beautiful thing to watch in action, particularly with horses.

It’s been an enlightening and emotionally draining day but I’m now a fully fledged Equine and Animal Reiki Master. Lots of lovely extra things now added to the energy healing toolbox. Can’t wait to try them out. 👐🏼

We love our beautiful girls and Echo in particular loves reiki. When I had clients come to the cabin for a treatment, she’d sit on them (with their permission of course)

Reiki with the lovely William, he caught us out by yawning 5 minutes in. Lots of licking and chewing and showing his mum he loves her. He’s a very gentle soul and really enjoyed his session Serena Hickson

It was Percy and Penny’s turn yesterday. Percy finds it difficult to focus for too long, so it was a case of see what happens. He was resistant for a while but the chilled moments got longer and longer. He did lots of licking and chewing and I did wonder if we’d get a yawn. And we did right at the end!
Penny was relaxed before her session, she’s just a happy go lucky kind of girl, so she was a wiling customer. The reiki just flowed through her.

Well this was an interesting session with Pongo last night. Didn’t quite expect it to go the way it did. Pongo has just moved back to our yard but hadn’t settled like he should. Turned out there was a little extra energy hiding in his stable that he didn’t like and set the hairs on my arms to stand up! So I sorted that out and then Pongo eventually relaxed into his. Strangely his brother from another Mumma, Rio, isn’t usually bothered but he was last night! He’s right next door but he was clearly feeling the benefit of Pongo’s session because we saw him licking and chewing and then he yawned, several times! He never does that! We saw one yawn but he hid the others behind his hanging rugs.
Energy comes in many forms and sometimes footprints can be left behind. Hopefully it’s a bit calmer in the stable now, he had a droopy lip this morning so something has changed.

What a handsome chap Forrest is! The lovely Ali asked me to pop along to give Forrest a reiki treatment. They are new to each other and it’s always a good thing to release stress and any underlying anxiety of moving to a new home as well as forming or strengthening their connection and trust. He was quite tired after his session and has hopefully had a good snooze this afternoon.

Reiki with Ice and Emma. Ice settled into her session so quickly and didn’t move (apart from some huge stretches) for over half an hour. I could feel and see the tension leave her body and 5 minutes in she had a massive yawn.
I’m looking for all these things when delivering a session, some are very subtle but some are very obvious. One very sleepy horse and owner afterwards.

I know I say this every time but it’s always a privilege to share time with these beautiful animals. Diego loved his session and after some connection work with his new mummy he’s feeling more settled. Spirit was next door and just lay down and absorbed all the excess ❤️.

How lucky am I? I got to spend time with Bob this afternoon, he really settled into his treatment and showed us lots of releases with licking and chewing. He kept stifling the yarn though, he wouldn’t give in while I was there. And we finished with some lovely reiki for his mum and he showed his love and respect for her in such a sweet and gentle way. Thank you Aimee Louise

Reiki is a very relaxing treatment for all horses, whether they have emotional or physical issues or just need some time to relax. It’s also great for improving connection and communication between rider/horse or between horses themselves.
