We’re please to share a little note from our founder, Lamia Walker today ❤️:

I’ve been asked repeatedly this week if, like our big competitor, we will introduce transaction fees for both homeowners and house sitters with every match.

And my answer is no.

Our philosophy is that house sitting through HouseSit Match is, and will remain, a free exchange.

And here’s a side note, as a privately funded business, we don’t have to answer to a VC funding manager. We’re a privately run business so we can stay true to our original goals of making travel more affordable and pets safer by making sure that house sitting stays free through HouseSit Match.

As always, I ask you please, please post adverts early as soon as you have the approximate date of your trip. The earlier you post, the more likely it is you’ll get more applicants. A lot of sitters are booked months in advance now, so post early.

And thank you so much to all of you.

This is Yogi 👋 he’s a chocolate Labrador Retriever who LOVES carrots 🥕 he’s also our Pet of the Month for December!

Yogi’s best friend is the garden hedgehog, he is partial to his plus tigger toy and he rather enjoys licking the plates out of the dishwasher.

Meet Hugo the cat 🐱 - Hugo is looking for a friendly sitter to keep an eye on him this December, and celebrate the New Year with.

He’s a 15 year old tabby who loves a good nap in conservatory. His owner is a semi-retired traveller who’s hoping to find someone special to keep Hugo happy and cared for while he’s away.

📆 26th December - 3rd January
