Sorry to begin the new year with something that’s not light hearted but please can I remind all customers to give plenty of notice should you need to move or cancel appointments. Sadly over the last few weeks I have accumulated 2 unpaid day before cancellations & 3 no-shows one of which was my first appointment back to work. This is a substantial hit to my income during an expensive time of year when my working period is shorter because of Christmas and when there’s a higher demand of customers wanting appointments who I have frustratingly turned away because of prebookings.
Please understand this is my livelihood, my only source of income. For anyone who doesn’t wish to commit to paying late cancellation fees as per my T&Cs that’s ok but you cannot pre-book weeks in advance, you will have to go on a waitlist for adhoc appointments and be fitted in late notice if and when I can accommodate you.
In the 10+ years that I have been grooming, I have only had to cancel two customers at short notice one due to illness and one when my dog died. I hate to let people down because I respect their time. I only ask that the same is done for me.
