I've just been archiving old files and thought it would be interesting to see which dog names featured most often in my behaviour cases (many hundreds of them). Not surprisingly, they reflect the popularity of dog names in general but there are also some popular names that didn't crop up (read on to find out). So the dogs I've most often seen for behaviour issues over the years have been -
Alfie
Archie
Charlie
Harley
Bailey
Bella
Lola
Milo
Poppy
Teddy
and Lola

Despite being the name of the Norse god of mischief, and a very popular name for male dogs, Lokis are under-represented in my behaviour cases. And although we've see many Lunas, Mollys and Maxs over the years, less of these have had 1-2-1 help.

It's such a shame because there's almost always a way to improve things. I'm not promising it's easy, or quick, but boy, does it pay off when you can start to relax and enjoy your dog fully

Born to run. This is only about 30% of top speed - I’m never quick enough to capture the first burst of incredible speed.

There’s nothing like a raw meaty bone for dinner (if you’re a dog). Engages jaw, neck and brain. I expect them to be occupied for at least half an hour

Thousands of years of evolution still deep within the genes. She watches, utterly focussed, waiting... as yet another squirrel hops into a tree unbothered 🙄

Ah, the kibble-in-a-loo-roll. It’s an oldie but a goodie. Like most feeding games, it slows down dogs who bolt their food, and sparks interest in the fussy ones.

Never let the opportunity for a puddle paddle go by. Unless, like me, you’re wearing zipped riding boots. Not at all waterproof it turns out
