As a trainer, the most important thing you want to see after racing and hard work, is a clean feed bowl and cold legs.

Max and the 3 workers all licked their bowls clean, have cold hard legs and Max has trotted up completely sound.

The 3 that went to Lambourn will all have a loose school. Max is in the field for the morning.

I could not be happier with Max, he ran on once the penny dropped to finish 6th.

As they jumped.off his head came up and you could see the thought bubble....£^ #@ horses everywhere help!🤣🤣

However Gav and i had both told to just cajole and keep asking as it would come eventually.

Super ride by finn, with the penny dropping about half way up the home straight, really sympathetic and kind to the horse.

And in return we now have a horse who has done his best work at the end passing horses.

Good boy Max, he'll be a nice lad for his owners.

He's been very spooky here and has reverted back to being a big baby, bless his heart.

Im hoping as the race unfolds he'll just knuckle down and concentrate, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was very green.

I hope he proves me wrong! As long as he comes back safe and sound, he'll have learnt loads.

Super morning in Lambourn today.

Gav schooled Bertie first with one of Jamie's horses, then we galloped Benny, me, Betsy, James and Bertie Gav.

They went really well, I went a proper gallop on Benny, which felt like a hack canter, took a blow and let the other two get upsides, which they did really nicely.

Im delighted with all 3.

A lovely day at waverton house.

Much better dressage for a 30.8, unfortunate pole in Show jumping and clear xcountry, but speeding tickets for going too fast.

My words were you've got a fecking watch, use it! 27 seconds fast is not ideal.

However better he finds it too easy than the other way.

Currently 8th, could move up a couple but happy with both of them.

I think we need to step up to 90 now as he needs to back off the jumps a bit more, his confidence is brilliant.

Very proud but absolutely knackerd mum here.🤣🥰
