Home safe after one of the toughest drives I can remember.

The surface water was so bad you would struggle to see the white lines and cats eyes.

The rain was torrential the whole way back. Add if di****ad drivers who can't read the road and it was delightful.

Public service announcement, if you see a horsebox that has a lot of space between it and the car in front, dont jump in front of it and slam your breaks on.

We keep a good breaking distance for a reason!

Shout out to all the lads and lass who got drenched today, you guys are amazing 👏.

Some days things work out and some days they go against you.

The rain is biblical here, Benny is currently walking off like a crab trying to avoid the deluge, in a massive sulk.

He pulled a shoe walking up to the track jigging about and we had to have it put back on in the pre parade.

So he was last to the start and couldn't get to the front, seemed to travel in snatches and pretty much sulked.

Gav did exactly the right thing and saved him for another day.

Id say the rain, shoe, ground and inability to make the running all went against us.

He's back safe, grumpy but in one piece.

So dear gorgeous Hugo has literally been walking and turned out daily since the summer.

If im being brutally honest, his future has been on a knife edge.

He had a cyst type of lesion on his good stifle and it was looking like he may not come right.

I was heartbroken, but with the help, advice and patience of the fantastic vets at Valley, he is sound for now.

So lets see how he goes.

We were only in the school today to get back on him. Tomorrow we will start lots of hacking, straight lines to see if we can get him stronger and keep him sound.

No sedation, 5 min loose school with his tack on, then I laid Blu over him, saw he was relaxed and away we went.

What a fantastic nature this lad has.🥰

Well done , you kept a lid on the Dora explora, very happy to run her now.

Friday at Exeter.

I've declared jolene and Betsy too for Huntingdon in hope it will be on.

Its mad you can't declare for 2 meetings to cover your arse.

What a bloody legend of a mare. The only time she ran over fences she was poorly and she had a rubbish run.

Today was the first time shes seen a fence since.

Brilliant riding . I love how she just allows the horse to do its thing, luckily ours are so balanced they can.

Good princess jolene 😍
